If you want to play IRL you'll have to find a locals somewhere. Konami will have a list of tournament venues in your country which you can find pretty easily through google.

If you're unable to do that/want to practice decks and brush up on the game you'll want to download ygopro and practice first against the AI and then when you're more comfortable against others.

The thing that bothers me here is that Serena didn't used Kaleido chick or Crimson Fox, and i can't really say that these two are from the manga because afaik, the ruris were irrelevant in the manga. I'm thankful there wasn't a fourth lunalight fusion that's harder to summon than Leo, i liked better that they gave us Kaleido Chick and Crimson Fox but i am still weirded by the fact they printed that Lunalight support but they didn't printed an original Wind Witch or Lyrical Luscinia or Melodious.

If anything, Lunalights got the better end when it comes to side character archtypes, and are the second best ruri archtype (Wind Witches get 1st place by virtue of CWSD with destruction immunity without using the normal summon) by how playable they're when pure, specially because of the chick.

I'm really gonna hate this format, especially for character deck making, Yusei, Yuma and Yuya cannot make their signature plays in this format. Yugi and Jaden might be okay, Yugi doesn't rely on the extra deck and Jaden has never had more than one hero fusion out at a time. I would run 3 Maiden + 1 Master + 1 or 2 Moon Mirror Shield.

Protector is dead if you don't have Maiden in your hand.
So for a 2 card-combo, Maiden + Moon Mirror Shield is far better than Maiden + Protector.

Take a look at pure Zoo, they just run more traps than their variants but the calling card will always be Triple Rat, Viper and Barrage since that's literally the entire zoodiac maindeck which makes their deck work.

Using this as a guide (it's missing shit though like fifth planet gadget,PAC MAN, chain burn etc so it isn't by any means comprehensive)/your memory if you played back then, what would you say your favorite old meta deck was? Mine is apprentice monarch since getting to loop pot of avarice several times per game with magician of faith while keeping overall board control was great. Future Number 0 Utopia Future-Future Slash gains attack by 500 per Numbers monster? Why is that when it could gain 1000 per Xyz monster? For gods sake Yuma didn't even have any numbers when he used it. It's basically and xyz change for when Lighting fails you.It's not even that compatible with Double or Nothing since that card cannot be searched and there is no way for this monster to negate it's own attack, it's ridiculous God dammit, this is just like the 3 supreme king black/white/violet dragons, the potencial is there but it's very very unlikely to put off and let's not even get into Yusei's higher level synchros that no longer have a purpose in Link format, these fucking tossers, they killed every protag except Atem for Yusaku, even Yugi got the short end with Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician sucking too hard to have a deck for themselves

It was a 45 card gadget deck which was filled with monster removal such as smashing ground, fissure, soul taker (yes this was actually used), shrink, enemy controller and a whole bunch of trap removal like widespread ruin/sakuretsu armor.

It was the main reason there was at least a couple of banlists where both smashing ground and fissure were put to one and the gadgets were put to 2 for a while as well.

Yuya's Pendulum Magicians. I'm pretty upset that Performapals can summon the four dragons faster and quicker than they can. Odd Eyes synchron and Odd eyes Dissolver make it especially easy to get the mall out thanks to their use of the scales as their material and if they release the gate cards they'll probably be able to get out the hybrid dragons more effectively and faster than pendulum magicians as well. However, this is all meaningless now as their one strength of having multiple different summoning methods on the field has been stripped away from them by the new rules. Isn't funny? Pendulum is meant to connect all the methos yet Konami named it's successor "Links" and their power shatters that connection to pieces. I don't think Yuya dek at this point even at full power with all of those cards would be capable of stopping Yusaku's Decode Talker and Firewall Dragon or out speeding them Not even a full powered Judai, Yusei or Yuma deck would be able to stop them. .

First off the normal summon ram only gets rid of one of the 3 problem cards which is most of the time not enough.
If we follow what you say, normal summoning and then ramming means that you don'tactivate the effect, which means that you go neg anyway since most monsters these days trigger on summon.

Skill Drain can be outskilled with effects that don't activate on the field and doesn't stop costs.
Macro makes the graveyard dead but some decks can recover banished cards
Vanity just kills the gamestate until you out it and the opponent can even kill it themselves.

1 or 2 Taketomborg?
1 sounds right but drawing it kills 3 cards, not drawing it kills 2.
With 2 you can draw 1 or use it twice if you don't draw it at all but more chance of drawing one which is a pretty dead draw.

Taketomborg should always be ran at 1 unless you´re running stuff like Majespecters (or other wind monsters).

You'll most likely draw top before borg because that's just basic math. The scenarios you've listed are too rare (resolving top twice) to advocate running a 2nd Borg.
