dark storm is another awfuly placed quest but no where nearly as bad as the last offender, a real issue with the quest pacing is the raptor egg quest you will only get AFTER visiting razor hill, so people will go to the echo isles get raped by trolls higher levels than them an on the off chance that they complete them in a 5 man will be forced to return for a single quest.

tirsifal glades is just fucking terrible, mostly due to the adgaman windmill and crypt which is horribly mod dense and a death trap.
part 2 of the undead warrior quest line takes place in that crypt, rooms full of packs of undead that can only be pulled in packs of 3, it really makes you wonder what blizzard was thinking

Someone redpill me on Druid leveling, it's about the only class ive never played in vanilla and im giving it a go now. There are 2 different plate drops in the dungeon.
The tank already has drop #1. The fury warrior has neither.
The tank proposes that if drop #1 drops, the fury warrior will get it, and if drop #2 drops, the tank gets it.

Is this fair?

I am curious, in vanilla is it easier to just have gathering professions at 60 and then use that money made from AH to buy other stuff? Or should one just switch to stuff like alchemy and engineering at that point?

I was initially thinking of having my warrior keep doing his current skinning/mining till 60 then eventually switch to alchemy and engineering, but as of right now at lvl 16, mining especially has been very lucrative. Without going too much out of the way I have a bit more than five gold and that's after spending it on skills, professions, some gear, and obviously not selling stuff like cloth that gets used for bandages. I notice that the higher level mining bars sell for a fuck ton. Like why worry about 2g per potion when you are selling high end bars at the end for 20-50g per bar?

Any min/maxers around?

I have mind carver and the cloak from DM, and also similar previs gear from before like inventors sword and brightcloth cloak.

The difference between the pieces of gear is one set has +1% spell crit, the others have +7 spell damage.

On this server which is better for raiding? Theorycraft tells me 1% crit is = to +6.5 spell damage....which would mean the +7 damage is better. And yet people in my guild are saying put mind carver in the bank with it's +7 spell damage until it gets buffed in a later patch.

Thoughts?

Only until I get nature's swiftness though (to make things instant cast) and then rest into elemental. I haven't healed in fucking a decade + so I'll appreciate the leeway that gives me in dungeons I think, also there's plenty of +dps/leveling stuff in the resto tree like chance to hit +3% and higher nature spell damage AND healing crit chance (I think).

Has anyone attempted to make guilds for more pre-WoW no clusterfuck lore setting? It would feel most viable in vanilla I think. So like alliance guild with no night elves allowed. Nah, Vanilla was the best with lore because it has the least amount of inconsistencies with everything that was established before. To claim vanilla didn't expand is also delusional (ex. one of the most loved things with Vanilla has always been the expansion of lore related to Elememtals and Old gods.)

TBC was fucking horrible, with the Dranei retcon being arguably one of the worst things in lore.

Wrath also fucked up the Lich King with sheer stupidity, and misses the point of why Arthas fell, LK's plans, etc.

Queues on BGs go from 1-5 minutes long to over 30-40 minutes as soon as a premade logs off. I can't believe there's only 15 people pvping at the same time.

If you're a clicker, stop. Use keybinds instead. Don't keyboard turn. Remove turning from keyboard, replace with strafe, then put keybinds on the previous strafe buttons. Backpedal is for faggots.

Get better weapons. Your mainhand weapon should be the one with higher damage, since it directly affects your Sinister Strike.

Don't spam abilities. Rogues are easy, but they aren't faceroll. Have enough energy to do your CCs when necessary, and be aware of what your opponent can throw at you (and when they're likely to do it).

That's not how it works, anon, you don't even need soul shards up until lvl 10. You just finish the mobs with the spell called Drain Soul, and if you can get experience/honor from it, you'll also get a shard. So from green to red, you'll get one if Drain Soul is channeled while the mob is dying. Main use for it is to summon demons and for some spells and buffs, but it won't affect your main spell rotation. Just make sure you always have enough (so one at least) to summon a void walker in case it passes out.

It's a fun class, I loved it very much on retail vanilla-TBC. I'm playing one now once again after almost 10 years on ally to see how are the class quests on the other side. I've also missed raiding with it in vanilla, so I hope to get a feeling of it on one day. Keep in mind that in vanilla there's a debuff limit on mobs.

For talents, put 5 to make Corruption instant, then another 5 to increase your stamina. From that point on, you can pretty much do whatever you want. As I said, I mainly played in TBC, but it had at least 3 viable specs there, and so far I think it also applies here (pure affly, pure destro, demo-destro hybrid with succubus sacrifice and constant shadow bolt spamming).

The starting rush is over, so the questing areas are quite comfy now. You don't have to stand in a line for every mob, but you can find people if you need help with a quest at nearly any time.

The staff drama doesn't affect the game play in any way, so don't care about that.

Of course, like in the case of every private server, there's a chance that it could be shut down at any given minute, but you'll get used to it, and will teach you important life lessons like how to enjoy the moment.

Havent played horde on elysium, but have played hrde on every other server and generallyit draws in people who are goofy/eccentric, possibly obnoxious at their worst. Horde is the more popular faction and as such I got killed by quite a few horde groups and I noticed that some event tended to pvp with a friend once they were 5 lvls above the questing zone level. Few were chill though and either helped me with quests, mined peacefully alongside you, whereas some few individuals went out of their way to venture into grey zones and grief.

Alliance players mostly mind their own business and after finishing their quest will just leave party and play solo. They tend to not be as sociable and for a select few niggers who ditch party when they get their drop, most are alright. Expect people to bitch in stv general chat about "unfair" pvp.

you run shit like strat brd ubrs etc over and over till you have your fury pre raid, don't bother aiming for tanking pre raid gear since the chances of you ever getting a tank spot in a raid is slim to none. obviously you will be rolling on tank gear but don't go out of your way to get it since eventually t1/2 will cover tanking if you ever get it.

Casters are all about knowledge.
Do you really think other races could get as easy access to Fel knowledge as orcs.
The same reason why human mages should be top, followed by highelves/gnomes and forsaken/trolls should be way below, since they don't have access to Dalaran universities and shit.
