I have most of the heroes in game, but I'm missing some 10k ones. I have gold for it, do I buy them all now so whenever I get them in a lootbox it's a duplicate and I get shards? This would be the closest thing in this game to trading gold for $$

If all you care for is heroes, no skins or anything, and you have 46 of them, with combined level 467, should you smurf? I can make about 15k a month, meaning i get a hero every month, and i will get about 5 boxes a month, so in 2 months i will get about 40 boxes, meaning i will get to 52 heroes in 2 monthts.

On the other hand, if i make a smurf and level all free rotation heroes to lvl 7, i will get 630 boxes in 2 months, meaning i get about the full roster.

Is anything wrong with my reasoning?

I've been away a long time, tried out 2.0 beta and I see he lost his permanent shielding ability. His normal attack is now distortion beam and it's incredibly weak and just for the slow. (Unless you take the attack damage talent that increases it by 150%)

That new Archon talent looked really fun and potentially really useful...but it was broken and instead of giving me infinite Archon gives me no Archon at all

- play only your highest-level heroes, use them to do dailies vs beginner ai, basically minimizing XP gain

Let me add a few leveling notes to this anons tips and tricks:

Your level 10 heroes are about to receive their 'second' hero specific crate at 60% xp
The first crate is between 8 and 9, so every hero under it shouldn't be trained past this treshold, preferrably not be leveled at all to receive as many as possible loot crates of all 3 rarities as fast as possible, up to thrice as fast

You're at a better spot than most people, especialy those who got fucked in the ass because they got a stimpak several times. You'll be getting almost half of the crates at a good pace, unlike people like I, missing out on 90%.

I'm not sure if the loot system is a good idea. Think about it, the only way blizz makes money is if suckers buy expensive skins. But now you can get all skins and mounts for free. And that is not all, most active players who buy stuff played for a long time so when the hots2 goes live, they will get massive amount of crates from which they will get almost all loot they wait from the get go and will acqire many more as they play, this means that profits for blizz will plummed leading to shutting down the hots completely within a year because it will be operating at a huge loss

That is exactly why people, outside of brainfried blizzdrones, are so up in arms about the news.

When you level characters on the PTR even in a bot game from like 1-4 you are getting a loot box every game, then if you add a stim pack and play against other people you are getting a few loot boxes every game with all your low level heroes. You will hit the 70 loot chests really fast with just bot games. They need heroes to be able to prestige so you can get the quick early boxes again, or just give you an option at the start of 2.0 to reset all your hero levels.

No one would mind if they hadn't included retroactive rewards at all. But they did, so now the veterans want to be properly compensated for their time.

The best idea I've seen in this thread is that instead of giving a massive pile of boxes all at once, they are trickled in as bonus boxes. As in, whenever you earned a box you would get an extra box. And this would go on until you ran out of bonus boxes. The amount of boxes equaling hour player level.

This way, they will eventually get all their boxes, but they would still have to play the game to get the most value out of it.

Skin is money only currently. When 2.0 comes out you get 500g every 5 hero levels ad infinitum and daily quests alsp reward gold. Weekly brawls give 1000, and each game gives 15-25g without stimpacks. You also have account level rewards that give massive amounts for new players to start off.

Generally speaking, playing a few games a day, and your weekly/daily quests will net you around 15k at the end of a month in the current system. 2.0 is still unsure but looks much faster.
