A huge problem actually is honoring DaS as the untouchable sacred cow. They won't hear a bad word against it, at any point in time. Since it was the first Souls game for people on PC, they'll patronize it beyond belief and claim the rest are shit. Look at the Capra Demon boss fight, if they tried that in DaS 2, people would riot. But since it was in DaS, it's all okay.
That isn't to say that DaS 2 and 3 are masterpieces, of course.

If you're going 99 arc at bl98 I would just go full meme. You're going to have like 15 vit, so I would recommend slotting full pulsing gems. It might be cancerous to get a good pulsing setup, but you can just blood tap so frequently without exposing yourself by healing because you don't care about it. Use bullet runes. No you don't. They're shit. Absolutely the worst unless you have under 50 arcane. Ebrietas gems are the best, followed by watcher gems, followed by bone ash hunter gems. Always want a cold abyssal in it too (just one). Trust me on this anon I've done a lot of testing and a lot of farming. I have a full primary arc+ flat arc setup (2x radial and triangle) from brainsucker and its trash compared to pic related. Granted this setup was AUTISICALLY HARD to get, but you can get by with an ebrietas tri, radial cold, and bone ash radial 23%. Don't really worry about flat arc bonuses unless you're dead serious, but they'll still be better than the brainsucker gems. Guaranteed.

First of all, for 99 arc you'd be brain dead to do anything but pure vit and arc unless you're really just memeing or going higher level. You'll get just about one shot by good gem people as a summon. Fire driver is too many stat requirements for you. Probably wheel and HMS too. Stick with 11 skill for saif and that's it. But if you must...

Pure arc 99 wheel is good. Still 500+ damage on players probably if they have low defenses (aren't much higher level than you). Pure arc 99 HMS is kind of a meme, but it would be passable. Your beams would be big dicked, but gems are an issue. If you go pure arc gems then you'll be autistically farming, but your beam will be so THICC. I would estimate it doing 600+ damage if you had ebrietas 24.8%+15 arc, a cold abyssal, and a respectable third arcane % gem. You could also go easy flat arc route and do good while retaining some """"""melee"""""" potential.
Overall that's not the focus of a 99 arc. Make a str arc anon.

Kos parasite gems are ASS to farm. Pure ass. Scroll up if you want to see best of the best, my image has character name "ayy lmao". Those gems took literally dozens of hours to get. You can get a 27.2% arc radial or 24.8%+15 if you're pretty lucky, and cold abyssal is the other necessary gem (pretty easy), but the third gem is where the autism starts to kick in. Your options are Isz bone ash hunter radial arcane 23.1%+14 (terrible farm), ebrietas OOS arcane 24.8%+15 (maximum tism achieved) or she also drops 23.1 and 23.9 with lower flat value, or OOE ihyll brainsucker (non-boss) which is a dogshit farm. The easiest one would probably be the Isz bone ash hunter without trying for the flat arc secondary. Arcane as a gem effect in general is so rare it makes me rage.

You can make it slightly stronger by using a Cold Abyssal +65 (+15 Flat ARC secondary) and two 27.2% ARC gems from Watchers. The Abyssal would have to come from an Isz Elder for the proper secondary, and the radials from Watchers. Low drop rate, though.
Your AR in that case would be 282 (+15 ARC), or 297.

For the +65 and Ebrietas combo (assuming perfect 24.8% with 15 flat ARC secondaries), your AR would be 272 (+30), or 302.

But you have to keep in mind that for the 297 AR, only ~5% is flat damage, and for the 302 AR, ~10% is flat. Flat damage is not affected by attack modifiers.

Essentially, yeah. The difference between the two for everything outside of the L2 nuke isn't significant (usually no more than ~10 points between the two set ups for most attacks). But, the nuke sees around 50 extra points in damage from the Ebrietas set up. That's about as great as the difference gets.

Now if you'd like to go through farming those +15 secondaries to make the Ebrietas gems worth it is up to you. Or, if you're fine with sacrificing 4.8% ARC damage for 30 points of flat ARC at maximum.

I always think in the perspective of PvP so I'm sorry if anything I said isn't particularly relevant. You'll be fine for PvE even with 10 vit if you got 99 arcane lol. But baseline for PvP is like 40. 29....okay you can try it. Maybe go for 95 or so arcane. You don't have to go full meme, but the growth on most damage tools is best 80-99 so don't go too low.

The 24.8s would be great with +15 ARC, as will the 23.1 BAH gems.

It's really whichever you want. Eb gems are easier to farm because they're guaranteed ARC primaries, but not quite as good without the flat ARC secondaries.

Different guy here, keep in mind that going for a desired abyssal secondary effect (especially flat arcane which is very rare) is next level autism. Just farm ebrietas until you get an abyssal, you don't need any useful secondary, because unfortunately arcane is the only one.
Go for the uncanny parasite and for your radials, one should absolutely be a cold abyssal which is from ihyll Pthumerian elder. His secondary also doesn't matter much. The third gem is the hardest spot to fill. You can get 23.1% arcane radials from bone ash hunters in Isz, but it's pretty rare. Farming ebrietas for an OOS gem is also rare. Look over the Bloodborne gem spreadsheet and find an acceptable arcane radial to farm. Probably easiest would be bone ash hunter without worrying about the secondary or ebrietas. Both may take hours though. If you really don't care then just slot the 18% arcane droplet from mensis and call it good.

When you're done, travel back to Amelia's boss room, walk outside and go to the right, there's another area to explore, Hemwick Charnel Lane. Right after you killed Gascoigne, you should have been able to climb a ladder into a room with a few desks and books, with a staircase leading to Oedon Chapel. It really isn't, in the slightest.

For one thing, Dark Souls isn't a mystery, and whatever mystery is present takes a back seat to linking the flame. Frampt being a shit liar is pretty much presented to you right in front of your eyes, with nary a care in the world, it's up to you to take notice, the game isn't actually concerned with that. You never even have to meet Kaathe. You can go on your merry way and save the world. It's only later is a wider scope of both sides presented.

Bloodborne is a mystery. In fact, it's advertised as one on the back of the box and the entire game revolves around uncovering said mystery and its implications and source. It's about the sundering of the veil and seeing the ugly stuff just under the surface.

Dark Souls, thematically, is a heavily mythological story (very Norse inspired) about the twilight of the gods.
Bloodborne, thematically, is a cosmic horror story concerned with forbidden knowledge and the misuse of it. In fact, at its core, this is what Demon's was about, too, but it was souls instead of the eldritch truth.
The most important distinction to make is how the world ends up - in Souls, it can be saved, not for long, but it can be prolonged potentially indefinitely through faith and sacrifice, or it can be let end so a new age can begin. In Bloodborne, the world (localized in Yharnam as an area of importance) was lost before you even got there, and there's nothing you can to do reverse what was going to happen.

Now, please tell me, what RPGs, both western and Japanese, cannot be pared down to the simple descriptions of: You're a regular dude who navigates a hostile world, or one that is, say, 'plagued by a curse', because these are absurdly broad strokes to use.

Forgot to post this, but if it's not too late, here's a comparison of the ARs and their products with the attack modifiers. The blue KP is the Ebrietas gem set, while the orange is the Watcher gem set. The green cells indicate which set deals the most damage, and the ARs were calculated using 50 ARC.
In almost all cases, the Watcher set beats out the other, as long as you have a +15 flat ARC Cold Abyssal alongside those 27.2% gems.

Guys I just finished Bloodborne for the first time. Fucking loved it.
But I missed Eileens stuff and want to replay it again and try to get everything possible so i can try every weapon out etc.
What are missables I should know about?

upper catherdral ward, you have to find the key in yaharghul and open the lock door at the top of the church workshop
