I have hundreds of hours in Dark Souls 2, and personally I don't find Raime difficult. My point is that if we wanted to measure which boss the playerbase has the most difficulty with overall, then the data From gave us proves that it's Fume Knight.

I don't give a fuck if you soloed him at SL1 with a broken ladle, that isn't the point. The point is that we have proof that Fume is the hardest boss in the series. Obviously people who don't have trouble with him are the outliers. They are an exception to the 93%.

Duh. Mass audence complained about getting twink ganged in DS1, and they've been basically removing pvp from the series ever since.

Soul Memory was intended to kill any kind of meta pvp since there's no way to separate yourself from level 700s

In bloodborne they made it so you can only invade people who are playing multiplayer

In DS3 they made it basically the same, the game will usually only give you an invasion if there's someone with 2+ phantoms and almost never pair you against a solo player

You should be right in front of him for two reasons:

a) you can hit his head
b) you can clearly see what he's about to do.


He won't use his tail move, he will always be moving towards you ( so you aren't chasing after him).
When you are in front of his head he will use his melee combo 95% of the time, all you have to do is dodge it (easily done it's very telegraphed).

His flames are easily dodged by simply moving back, they don't go very far.
When he does his breath into laser beam you will want to initially move out and then immediately move back in once the flames clear out, you will easily avoid his lasers and be in position to whack his head.

Honestly, being in front of his head is the easiest way to fight him. You won't be fighting the camera or be whiffing hits.
All it requires is you to git gud and dodge his melee.

Killing bosses as a twink is actually pretty easy if you can at least take a hit. Even with 99 vigor and both health rings, 80% of your health comes from estus. Went for princes instead or friede because I needed the hunter's ring anyway.

1H sweeps are handy for deadangles or rollcatching
In PvE its whatever suits the situation, 1H for multiple enemies, 2H for single target

I think for their next not souls but totally is a souls style game from should mix the DS2/3 and BB weapon system with the armour system.

Weapons should be infuseable and also be able to go from base to +10 or whatever but shouldn't have gem slots like in BB.

Armour shouldn't be upgradeable but should have slots for the equivalent of gems. Maybe keep the numbers nice and tidy unlike BBs 16.7% attack up or whatever. So like one gem gives attack up 5% and takes one slot. Attack up 2 takes up 2 slots but gives 15% (to not be outclassed by the normal gems).
