Are you idiots really having that hard of a time with this easymode dlc?

Threadly reminder...

Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords is every single thing wrong with this game thrown into one moveset. Jesus Christ... they are by far the most obnoxious thing to fight against.

It's not surprising that every jackass now flocks to the weapon. Flashy attacks, outrageous damage combos, stupid hyper armor, huge hit box, ranged attack.

They put so much effort into this particular paired weapon, and then you have things like the Splitleaf Greatsword that has nothing unique outside of the weapon art. Same goes for the fat humanity guy Curved Greatsword. Nothing special but weapon arts.

Why is it acceptable to be this fucking lazy and uncreative. I've never gotten an "anime" feeling from the series before this game's 2 DLC's, but boy, did they sure go all the way with it now.

There will be a patched / hidden true ending, right? Or if not an ending cutscene they'll let you see or explore the finished painting at the very least. The church with the painter wasn't burning before if I recall correct so it wouldn't be that surprising if From patched in new additional stuff. Surely the Dark Soul blood not unlocking anything right now is just meant to create a space of time during which the painter actually paints the fucking thing.

I mean the definite final ending of the series can't be simple "thanks for bringing me THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER OBJECT IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, maybe you some day will see me actually use it for something lol". It's not even a case of solving previous lore stuff people have been asking for before, the DLC as of now doesn't even finish its own storyline.

Weapons that have movesets that do everything for you are basically just the melee equivalent of spells: Press button --> get instant gratification.

Only spells do not make you invulnerable to poise and they certainly do not 1 shot properly built players.

Kinda glad Dark Souls is over with. The weapons were just getting progressively easier to use (it started with the Sainter's Spear) and the community's skill ceiling can finally climb its way back up to where it belongs. If you'd like to continue leaning on those crutch weapons, be my guest but they won't help you when the next souls-like game comes out.

Why was the Darkmoon Covenant taken from Velka and given to Gwyndolin after internal struggle?

What is the Age of the Deep, the nature of Deep and it's relevance in regards to Humanity? (it comes from Humans but isn't the Dark Soul, it's 'dregs')

What was the connection between the Primordial Serpents and Lothric? There are statues all over , but essentially no mention whatsoever of them being there -at best, a tenuous link to a 'scholar' who told the Princes not to link the fire (which wouldn't have been Frampt since he was all about it, and not Kaathe since he's dead)

How did Kaathe even die? What was his plan after DaS1 that caused him to switch his support to the Sable Church? He went from trying to totally end the fire (something you can actually DO in 3) to supporting it being usurped and used for Humanity

Who was the 3rd sister of the Sable Church, what was the Sable Church involved in, literally anything really relating to Londor at all. We didn't even find out if Londor WAS the Ringed City.

What happened to Gertrude, who were the Angels that visited her, what caused the 'Civil War' in Lothric of Knights fighting against each other and the two faiths colliding?

What actually happened to Ornstein? Why did he just die at the Nameless King fight? Did he challenge him?

What the fuck happened to Flann? If we're assuming Gwynevere was the Queen of Lothric then she certainly broke up with him and vanished, yet then fled Lothric too

We never found anything out about the beast mentioned since the very first game, and every game after in the Ring of the Evil Eye

Why did Havel have occult weapons in his hidden stash and why was he (if it was in fact him) locked away in the tower?

Like an anon said in the last thread, they didn't end on a bad note - they ended on nothing. Absolutely nothing was resolved and no answers were given to anything but questions asked in its own dlc. They could have released the DLC as a standalone and it would have essentially made sense.

Obviously from Souls i wasn't expecting a fully wrapped up ending with everything explained - i wouldn't want that either, but it's like its own original, self encapsulated story - like a bad fanfiction

I'm finished it. This DLC is so shit i actually think AoA was better. They just gave the enemies more HP and did nothing to actually make it challenging. The whole DLC was exhausting since every boss fight was boring and dragged out because of retarded HP. The world design was fucking hideous as well. That whole swamp area is fucking disgusting and serves literally zero purpose. Shit weapons,shit armour,shit lore and shit enemies.

Just like Gael, this is one of the only bosses in the game you can't just tank with 30+ vig and a billion estus. It's a legitimately difficult boss and this is why shitters are calling it unfair after spending a whole game spamming 13 iframes rolls and healing up to 15 times when they fuck up against squishy base game bosses.

Midir has a wide variety of moves, all completely avoidable and telegraphed. It's completely fair and easily one of the best in the series. You just have to relearn timing and positioning, 2 things you probably forgot going through the rest of the game.

And turn off the lockon, it's never worked against huge enemies.

I think the painter wanted to make a special world that wouldn't rot so they needed the dark soul or something

Overall I think it goes like this maybe

Fillianore and the egg were somehow keeping the pygmies and the dark soul sealed away in a ring of fire and light like the dark sign locked up your humanity

the abyss was able to sense where the dark soul was and so it was consuming the ringed city to get at filianore and the dark soul but the dragon had been raised to hate the dark and burn/consume it to prevent anyone from harming filianore

Not him and I haven't follow you two's discussion, but I think all the other Serpents save for Frampt want dark, or at least they're not actively helping to prolong the Age of Fire. In DaS1 Kaathe mentions that Frampt "went mad and helped Gwyn resist the course of nature", plus his ending has multiple Serpents so I think it can be surmised that not resisting the course of nature is the supposed norm among them.

Considering there are statues of them all around the place I think it's safe to say that they were very prominent beings in one way or another to the original dwellers in the very least. They could also be the supposed "angels" as Lothric Archive statues have Serpents with wings. Would also explain the supposed civil war there, as Lothric family was nurturing a perfect heir for the Fire whereas the "angels" may have been against linking it.

How are you suppose to beat Midir on a level 80 pyro?

Even when I spec for faith the best I can do is 500 damage to his face with a sunlight spear. But they cost a ton of fp and I have no stamina or hp.

I heard mercury is good, but I don't have it and this is already ng++, if I do go get it he gets a ng buff.
