There are 2 sides of the loot crate arguments regarding "verteran" rewards.
If you went all out and got 500 hero level, this is a pathetic recompense.
Or since the scaling was changed and the max hero level isn't capped at 20 anymore, it doesn't matter past the point that new players are able to quickly accumulate loot boxes and POTENTIALLY gain more than your veteran player if there was a race going on.
In the end, none of this actually matters because it's cosmetics and Blizzard doesn't care about anyone's whining. Nearly everyone in here got boned but if you take a gay ass communist perspective on it, you should be happy you are getting crates in the first place.
I'm interested to see what other people's take is on this. You can talk about the other aspects in this patch and how it relates to the declining state of this shitty gaming industry but only your wallet and time dedication will change that.
The core gameplay of the game isn't changing. Whether or not that's for the better I can't tell. New heroes and maps will keep the game going for a while and this new bullshit Overwatch loot crate system will have everyone looking forward to the next shiny shiny.

We already know that the XP required to get to 20+ levels will be far lower than it probably is to get a hero 9-10 now.

Basically, yes a lot of people are getting screwed out of chests, but ultimately it's free shit, nothing is really 'lost' to begin with and I think only half a mile down the road people will forget all about it.

It goes by rarity. Azmodan is a 'common' hero, you get 20 shards. Legendary heroes (10k heroes like Cho'gall) give you 100. Legendary skins are 400 and rare skins are 100.

I'm playing since beta. This is normal, sometimes the patch will make the game unplayable SUDDENLY AFTER A PATCH and there's nothing you can do. This happened to me 2 times now, but they eventually fix it, no need to post a ticket in their forums btw they will not help.

One way to see if the problem is server-sided is loading a try mode, if the try mode works perfectly but the game doesn't even if the connection is fine, then you're fucked.

The only thing you can do is making sure your connection is working fine and just wait some weeks.
