So, reading the previous thread scared me.

I started light, I got two guns from Chev and one Luminera SSR so far (around 300 berries spent) but the game isn't much fun, it feels really slow and if I didn't have Yoda, I wouldn't be able to do certain things.

I was lucky to get some SSRs that are S tier on most tier lists I found for Earth, Fire and Dark elements. Would it be smarter to just switch to a different element or is it better for me to finish what I've started?

You really should've started with Fire, you got two of its best characters. Sarunan and Albert are garbage and Jeanne is way too little to justify starting Light.
Switch to Fire and go along the mainwheel (Fire -> Wind -> Earth -> Water). Once you start farming Earth start spending renown on Celes Claws and leave Light for the very end.

Ferry makes your light roster much better but getting proper weapons for it will be hell so I would still recommend focusing on fire first. If you get lucky with dropping two or three snek daggers water team could work as well but it isn't really strong, that's why it only makes sense if you get lucky with drops.
If you got a couple more characters in the upcoming legfes it would be much easier to make a decision.

The sword is a leftover of my first Unite and Fight, which was my first event. I'd just missed the SF colab, so this was almost a year ago. I got the first one in the first 200 rolls, then the 2nd one in the first 800 rolls of the second box. I was ranking up real fast, so AP wasn't a problem.

My main reason was because R Rosamia was my waifu, and I only wanted to play the game for her. I was in desperate need for light weapons that raised attack, so I poured all of my pitiful AP pots into the eyeballs. I recall using around 80 pots to finish the axe, 120 to finish the staff, and 180 to finish the harp. I was working part time too, so it was hell, but at the time, I had an obsession with wanting to heal Rosamia to keep her alive.
