This is not a problem, is it? Either you get them all, in which case you didn't need that Perk slot, or you don't, and NOED triggers.

I've found they go for gates pretty unabashedly. If they aren't in voice chat, they wouldn't even know you have NOED until it's too late. And even if they try to hide it out, that's two more minutes to catch them you wouldn't have without the Perk. And if you get one, that's either a guaranteed kill if they keep avoiding you or it can snowball if they come for it.

It is if you have experience in never getting found in the first place. Plus I'll make big decisions based on it. I won't start the last gen unless I know the killer is far from it OR I know I can quickly duck somewhere that I know from experience has a high chance of keeping me hidden. I don't even try to touch an exit switch unless I know the killer is carrying, not "chasing" someone else, or if I know for sure he's like across map and even if he ran straight for my gate I'd open it in time anyway.

There's no rush to escape, just stay calm and re-gather the information you need on the killer's location before you try to open the gate. If I start the last gen near a gate I move further INTO the map away from the gate because that's the number one spot the killer will look, the gate next to the last started gen.

Unbreakable is a non-issue. Might catch a Killer off-guard one in ten games. It's situational and can be played around.

A lot of people use Borrowed Time. Iis strong, especially if two or more people have it. It excels in the late game, and is at its strongest when the gates are/can be powered. It enables Survivors to go for saves aggressively and tank two hits if they play it properly. Which is kind of stupid, especially as it forces the Killer to camp even harder in the late game so as to not allow the unhook to happen to begin with.

Just like STBFL can snowball into three sacs, BT can snowball into three saves. It does take a good amount of coordination to be that strong though, so it will be more of an issue once SWF works properly again and more people learn to use it as a team. Then it can definitely destroy a Killer though, especially those that are lategame-heavy in playstyle or strategy.

It's also fun if you play Killer to check if and how many people you've missed.

There should really be a demo mode with which you can freefly in the recording and see all Survivor auras as well as the Killer and everything.

In overwatch, the only issue i remember was hooking people that you can't\barely see, due to hitboxes. Technical issue, yes, but it was usefull for the player, so it won't happen in DbD.

Played League years ago. There was an ability to combine several hooks, which might be a feature. And it's not goind to happen here, since there's only one killer in the match.

We don't know it's going to be a chain, this is just wishful thinking based on Goodnight. The ability would be to throw a hook with a chain attached to it. And then it either injures Survivors (can be thrown over pallets and through windows and over obstacles and so on), or, if they are close enough, it catches them and he pulls them up on his shoulder with it.

A ranged attack like that would be great, I just don't think they will do this. It would require a good bit of work to make that ability work smoothly and they will probably avoid introducing a new mechanic.

I agree that the "it counters the killer's training wheels" is a little bit misworded, but it's almost true. Sound isn't a "training wheel" but it's certainly VERY strong. You almost have to TRY to lose a survivor after they've been hit if they don't have Iron Will.

I'm still waiting for the day people realize there's no counter to sloppy butcher and they start running that. Practically impossible to lose track of someone with or without iron will on a majority of the maps. Someday.

Sound right now is not so strong. It's often even confusing for me. Iron Will is still a great Perk, but losing people in this current state where scratchmarks and sound are unreliable does happen. I'm relatively new, but I see it happen to experienced Killers too.

Either way there's no counter to either perk, but if you have no trouble seeing the blood then sloppy butcher will give you a lot more blood to see. If they aren't running it's practically a solid line of blood.

But honestly, with Borrowed Time, I don't see this becoming a stealth meta. Survivors are more aggressive than ever, and successfully. Well maybe it was worse in 4xDS times, but the sound and scratchmark issues do make it tough, and it will only get worse once SWF works again and people regularly coordinate their BTs (and maybe Unbreakable with Sabo).

As long as pallet looping is as effective as it is and Survivors don't mind being found or even want to be found, Tracking Perks will be subpar on all Killers but the Nurse. Whispers only takes a slot and gives enough utility for most of your Finding-Survivor needs. Maybe Nurse's Calling instead. At least for high level play you need your Perk slots for pallet chases rather than stealthy weasels.

It's not even about the brightness of the blood, it's the extra 4 seconds of tracking. Butcher makes a nice red path to follow, while bloodhound makes sure you can follow the blood, even if you happen to lose track for a moment.
Also does sloppy butcher increase the amount of blood splatters on hit? Haven't used it for months, but i think it did, and i liked it. A lot.

It's getting to the point I'm just gonna dodge any private profile killer. The self ping test in the lobby isn't reliable enough to warrant the risk that's still present you'll get some asshat across the globe.

Side note, I never even got CLOSE to a pallet this game, I did U-turn to make him miss a lunge though, guess that pissed him off enough. Next time I'll just put myself on the hook I suppose.

They actually did nerf the the blood perks with the engine update. Bloodhound is only slightly brighter than normal blood now and sloppy butcher does not leave as many spots.

Well let's take a look at what makes survivors strong for a second. Most killers would immediately think of pallet looping right? Nurse doesn't have to mess with that, she can skip straight to hitting them. Sure she has a 1.5 second downtime, but she can regain that lost ground in an instant as soon as she recovers. Not at all uncommon for a good nurse to take down a survivor in 5-6 seconds after finding them. The problem with nurse is that if you suck, you have zero crutches to rely on. You just going to look like a fool all game and get a good idea of what the ground looks like.
