ZENYATTA IS LITERALLY A BETTER DPS MCCREE NOW.

With the except to hard countering pharah because of projectile vs. hitscan, there is no reason to play as Mccree when Zenyatta does his job better while also debuffing and healing. Behold the facts:

Left Click

Zenyatta does everything Mccree excels at better except for countering pharah (which you can have a soldier do to better effect.

And if you're gonna retort with MUH FLASHBANG as if it is 2016 and that shit matters, consider the following:

At all distances, Zenyatta can keep constant pressure on shields laying in his massive 20 orb clip in just 8 seconds to deal 920 damage. And he can also peak and deal a quick 230 burst damage, again, from any distance.

Mccree on the other hand has to worry about falloff and stay within 22 meters to get max output against a shield (dangerous for a DPS with no sustainability or mobility) and can deal 840 damage in 8 seconds with 2 full clips of peacemaker unloaded into a shield.

Nothing inherently wrong with Zen, but there's pretty much no reason to pick him over Ana unless you can't aim. Ana can protect herself against flankers with her dart, she can heal herself (whereas Zen is stuck waiting for regen), she has aoe healing with nade, higher single target healing from a longer distance, the only anti-heal in the game (which hard-counters Zen ult as well).

There's just no point in picking Zen, unless you have trouble reliably healing with Ana.The extra damage from discord has its uses, but it's not nearly useful enough to make him a better pick than Ana

His kit is garbage. His ultimate is a joke, fan the hammer is nigh-useless, and the flashbang is a relatively meh ability that loses its flare once you get out of diamond and it only becomes useful for fucking with Winston's and tracers with it's garbage range and Mccree lack of mobility.

Peacemaker is literally his only redeeming quality because it's a mobile mini Widowmaker, so click on heads and win. It also the best way to shut down pharah outside of wasting a soldier ult.

So how the hell is that not useful when tracer is one of the most popular flankers (who fucking HARD COUNTERS Zen) and Winston is making a comeback? That's the whole point of picking McCree, to counter those flankers coming for your support.


Your argument also doesn't address team comp. If you pick Zen, you wont have an Ana/Lucio, which makes your support cast weaker and your whole team weaker. There's also the whole Hitscan -> Projectile thing which you want to disregard but actually makes a huge difference (most people at high levels try to stick to either Hitscan OR Projectile heroes, rarely are they equally skilled at both).


I'll agree that Soldier is probably the better Hitscan pick right now and McCree could use some love. But your Zen > McCree argument is flawed

Whenever I run into a widow main in quickplay I always check their winrate with widowmaker. What I see is disturbing.
Maybe one in four has a winrate with her above 50%. There are people that sink hundreds of hours into plating widowmaker and still suck so much that they can't break a 50% winrate with their main.
No other hero has this. Hanzo mains, Genji mains, even the rare Sombra main, almost all of them have a decent winrate on their main.
But autistic widow mains above all seem to refuse to believe thay they are simply not good at widowmaker.
I've come to the conclusion that no amount of practice can help these people. They are simply terrible at the game and are terrible people. And nothing can change this.

Awareness and positioning go a long way, shit I could probably get 2500 just standing in the right spot with Bastion + Rein. Not only that but people at that rank generally don't know shit about team comps, I figure I could easily hit plat on PC by the end of my placement matches.

I'd say atleast high plat/low diamond probably higher since I don't play DPS at 3800 so positioning/awareness goes a lot further

The issue is that my career high is in diamond and I'm currently in high plat. I'm not saying that's anything special but I'm not at complete shitter tier either. It would make sense to see these people at silver or bronze but they're all over. She needs bulk to compensate her lack of mobility. Still, that won't replace Rein, because he has bulk AND mobility, plus if he gets swarmed, his auto does an insane amount of damage and pushes enemies back.

Plus, her ult takes way too long to charge for it to be any worth. It isn't an attack, it's a buff- so it should be charging fairly quickly.

I think people just haven't figured out a good proper strat to use her because I've been on some winning teams where people used her.

She needs a healer to pocket her for sure and another shield tank on the team like a Rein or Mei for when her shield drops.

But she can pin down enemies and track Pharas with her primary and soak up a bit of enemy aggro with a pocket healer, freeing other teamates to focus without getting shot at.
