Looking to make a dedicated Lao Shan set. Thinking about making it a gunner set with Artillery, since the cannons and ballistae seem to do way more than most hunters can.

Why would you use rusted weapon with neg affinity? The massacre diablos IG gives you a fair amount of purple with S+2 and 370 raw with -30% affinity.

Also nobody knows exactly how it procs, some people say it's 1/2 and some say it's 1/4. It would be worth it if it's 1/2 since you can use neg crit to offset the disadvantage of having negative crit and you can just boost the raw.

You're not really allowed to make a mistake on Rajang, because that one extra attack, or that bad mis-step is going to have you losing like 75% of your health, and if unlucky, will bounce you into a stun and end you there. Also his 'obvious' moveset's only really obvious after a few hours of fighting it over and over again. Given a lot of his attacks will let him hop back, and even his basic movement back and forth can and will deal a ton of damage towards you if they clip you.

I find the sword -> axe morph GP to be really easy to pull off since it can be linked from pretty much any sword move. The style specific GPs are somewhat harder to do consistently though adept sword charge GB lasts quite a while.
I still have trouble using the axe -> sword GP which is why I use adept, I can just dodge out of attacks when I'm caught with my pants down.

I would vote Tri myself, as Tri has like so little of the old and will feel fucking fresh after MHF/MHFU hell. Use 3.2 to bypass this issue. It's a smaller footprint, so it doesn't fuck up when loading a second app. 3.4 though will, but you only should use 3.4 if you're streaming anyway.

You just unlock different pack options via the Lab.Some of them ar repeats, but are better at a higher point cost. ( Like the EZ Max when you die, and then a second one that is an EZ Max when you die once, and then twice. ). In earnest the best ones are the EZ Max on death ( insurance in case of just a bad moment. Including vs fucking Hypers ), and the Capture Set if going for caps. The rest ether take too fucking long for anything ( Flash/Bomb set) or are for very selective things (Mining/Bugnet if you run out/Aren't a fucking cat) or can't be kept on passively given you have to set it every run(Cool Drinks if you have none).
