Instead of making yourself weaker and dying that moment you could as well spent the time alive and overhealing people, while getting a legit 20% uber along with it.
To make up for your "I fucked up and died early" moment, you may need to split uber on different people by flashing them to push the line and that will reduce your effectiveness.
I think only Kritz or QF would be able to cope with Vita-saw's shenanigans. Kritz or QF at least ensures you can deploy a real über before dying instead of staying behind.

tl; dr: Vita-saw only cool and giddy when you have a 2nd Medic who can overheal you and even that moment he'll ask "where's your uber-saw?".
