So i did a mud gyser map with my caster chieftain.

Discovered that you need unwavering stance. If you don't have it you get stunned out of your channel and it feels bad.

However here's the catch... I did this map with trash gear and level 10 to 14 gems...

The damage must be pretty good with real gems if it felt good enough with those gems.

SRS does better than fine with breaches as long as they don't die before they start attacking. If you are having trouble with that, just toss on purity of elements, even if it's a lowish level they pop up right on top of you so they will have the resist for the second or so they need to go into attack mode and start fucking shit up. Also you kind of need melee splash in breaches; I use it for everything except major bosses anyway, it's an amazing clear speed buff.

this is silly unless you aren't necro, on necro with all the cast speed buffs and flesh offering applying to me I have .21 casts/sec without echo. My lines are SRS/phys/empower/splash/miniondmg/added chaos, but I'm using the poison build (which is fucking retarded strong even compared to normal SRS I might add), if you aren't using poison build replace added chaos with added fire or multistrike if you want to ooM with 250manaregen/sec. why would you take Herd of the Flock on an SRS build? That entire double cluster over there is a huge trap for SRS, it's mostly HP nodes and + to zombies/skeles, a well made SRS build uses neither of those. A gain of 15% resists to cap at 75 will be better than not doing so, he asked for advice and I gave him some examples of what could make them more survivable.

No matter how you look at it, Herd the Flock is going to cost you less than a fucking 35% mana reservation, especially for minions with 60 base resistances with CoD. 2.6 buffed SRS base resistances substantially, you never really need to worry about capping them unlike AW.

You can cap their resists with a jewel or Herd the Flock cluster which is another 15% minion damage and 1.5% life regen which is underrated and helps keeping your golem alive. SRS don't need capped resists since they're so expendable but IF you feel like capping them, Purity is not the solution.

On a life-based SRS build, Herd the Flock is not a serious 6-point investment, it's right next to templar life. On a LL build that doesn't path near it, you run multiple Purities so that's a non-issue then. I don't have it specced on my SRS build, but the 2 points leading to it are not wasted, making it really a 1-point decision in the end.

Stone Golem doesn't need regen, it regens itself. Plus, if you are playing SRS correctly, you already have tons of survivability via leech or 20% hp on kill using Chayula sword. You have Discipline, Hatred and Clarity locked in, what else are you going to use? Even with level 4 enlightens you aren't going to be able to squeeze in another 50% reserve even with all aura nodes, and if you can then you are LL anyway and take a large hit on personal survivability and damage since you have to use shavs, for more auras that you honestly don't even need unless you want to be a party buff cockslave.

Guys I think I've *unintentionally* found an exploit.

Every single rogue exile I kill drops 2 jewels, even though my anarchy leaguestone is normal.

Here is what I did. I opened a Precinct map with an Encrusted Anarchy Leaguestone. But somehow the exile bosses didn't drop any jewels.
Next I opened another map with a normal Anarchy leagustone, and since then every rogue exile drops 2 jewels. I consumed several normal anarchy leaguestones, and it's still raining jewels.

So maybe there's a way to make this work with a better leagustone, to keep its effect even if all the charges were consumed.

If you're a life build, you're next to it and it's not a wasted investment since 15% damage for 2 points is the equivalent of a minion damage jewel anyway. If you're LL, you don't care since you're most likely running Purities and can delete any content with sheer damage anyway. So there's no scenario where running Purity makes sense.

I said it does a scary amount of damage. Even with 400hp/s regen I can still lose 1/4 to 1/3 of of my life pretty quickly while killing a reflect rare (especially in a party when I do more damage and they live longer).

It's just very surprising to me, how much damage I take from it despite putting a fair bit of effort into reducing it. If you want to safely scale damage to a high potential, you simply need VP
