When i played warlock i used rank 1 curse of recklessness all the time on humanoid to prevent them from running away and it was amazing considering it's instant with a low mana cost.
But now ever since i stop playing 'lock i have never seen anyone use it, why? Do no one know its usefulness or what?

Most people wont think that runners are an issue. Its also not visible enough for anyone to pick up on why things arent fleeing and to learn from it and pass on the knowledge. don't bother playing 1 unless you really like the lore of the witcher, combat is grossly different and puts alot of people off.
watch out with the witcher 2, early on its very easy to get instagibbed because of the way back attacks deal double damage to you. use loads of bombs and potions chances are you'll need them.

No real way to tell.
If you ask a random horde, they'll be convinced every mage ganking them is chinese. If you ask an alliance dude, he'll say the same thing except about undead rogues/mages.
Alliance are going to notice a shitload more ganks out in the world due to horde having very long bg queues, plus the premade issue.
The likely reality is that there are a fuckload of chinks on both factions - the myth of chinese preferring one faction over the other is just that, a myth. It used to be "they hate skeletons", but undead mages have long been a favorite of chinese gold farmers.
I suspect that any census would show the largest guilds on both sides to be chinese guilds. Chinese just fucking love warcraft and selling gold.
