The explanation they gave on stream is that our guardians have raided these areas repeatedly afterwards for more and more shit even though the bosses aren't technically there anymore.

Since Atheon is is boss daddy of time fuckery him coming back again and again kind of makes sense. But with Crota, Oryx, and Aksis you just kind of need to suspend your disbelief.

I see it as retelling the greatest PvE accomplishments with a little embellishment (new weapons/powers/armor)

The guys hosting the show are those two faggots from the fireteam chat podcast that say "eyes up guardian" at the beginning of every podcast. Towards the end of the interview, the lead designer guy starts telling them about this great idea he has for them ending the show like "weapons down guardian". DeeJ tries to tell the guy that they probably don't care what he thinks and that he shouldn't try to run their show for them, and after he's completely ignored he sits back on the couch and makes that expression. I wonder how expanding to the PC will affect the overall gaming experience.

God knows PC users on average aren't the biggest fans of Games like destiny, which makes me think D2 might have a bigger focus on the PVP which might be a dealbreaker for a lot of the current audience.
