How do non-dragoncraft decks counter Lightning Burst?

Okay so how is it okay that it's literally impossible to do anything against forest when they keep bouncing Lizas and just slapping you with fairies.

At no point in the game was I able to actually do anything on the board for real.

This card is unironically the most busted card in the entire game. In any other class this card would have been just good but in dragon it's fucking bonkers because of ramp. Which in turn makes ramp a toxic mechanic now. Shadow already gets enough shit from Haven but now you've made them weak to dragon as well. It's an understatted follower the turn you play it. And then it needs you to skip your next turn before it becomes anything wortwhile. But at that point you have already wasted two of your turns. And that's assuming it even survived the first turn and there is still no guarantee it will do anything good for you even after the buff from feeding it play points.

It's like the quintessential play do nothing card. That costs a lot of play points and needs you to waste even more play points before it can do anything decent 2-3 turns after being played. It's utterly horrible.

Rahab isnt about the dmg.
Its about dragon getting a early game ward that isnt flimsy as shit.
Doing T2 oracle and then T3 Rahab will save you alot of hp against unga decks.
Imprisioned dragon only got 3 hp so it gets cleared way to easily bit claw, and other cheap clears and Goblinmount is 1pp more so you will let them get 1 more turn with chip dmg before you can play him.
And if they went first then, they will just Dod him.
With rahab being 4 pp gives it a really good stalling turn at start that will save you some precious hp.

Rahab even when evolved is a just 4 / 7. Or 5 / 7 if you spend an equal number of PP.

Your only chance is that you ramp up your satan and play sooner than they reach 10 PP to play theirs. Or manage to dig out more odins, than their seraphs. Storm haven with perfect hand is also incredibly hard to deal with.

SahaLuci isn't the end all be all of dragon. It's a specialized playstyle invented to counter Daria and other popular midrange/aggro decks.

If tempo rune remains popular into ToG, then SahaLuci will stay. If instead we see a shift towards control, then you'll probably see more forte/genesis.

Right now dragon is very attrition-based. You just outheal everything and slowly chip away at the enemy, or drop bahamut and hope it sticks, or pull satan. This means it gets beat by just about everything with a harder wincon.

IMO, dragon will probably still have to run Sahaluci. Even if control becomes more popular aggroshitters will still flood ladder and netplay. In a tourney deck, maybe you can remove the sahaluci, or at least cut it down to like 2/2.

As I see it, I'll definitely swap my Imprisoned out for Rahab, drop emissaries and 1x fervor for 3x Sibyl, drop 3 Odins for 3 LB, and maybe take out Satan for Ouroboros. Satan is A LOT slower and doesn't do anything the turn it comes out, and can kind of cuck you by preventing you from drawing Odin/Baha when you really need boardclear lategame. MAYBE some wind reader zell Sahaquiel Bahamut memes with 13 face damage on turn 5.

Mask of Death will finally make the Forest vs CBlood match up not an auto concede for Blood. In fact, I think CBlood will become favored. Forest has no way of pinging face to get rid of amulet, all their damage is huge burst. D.Shift will still shit on you once good players realize you need to save Snipes against Blood to proc the amulet once they start dropping them turn 6/7/8 prior to D.Shift.

All in all, both Blood amulets addressed a huge issue with the class. I'm happy we're finally getting answers to combo cancer, instead of just pure removal that only punishes aggro and control for playing the game, instead of solitaire/storm.

I think the problem is that fairy generation is too expensive. Forest gets a 4 mana 3/2 charge make a fairy vs sword's 3 mana 3/2 charge. Making a 1/1 you then have to spend more mana to play is not worth a whole fucking mana.

The best fairy generators are a 2 mana 1/1 and a 1 mana do nothing. If you spend your early game generating your fairies you're fucked against anyone who fights back. It needs on curve plays that let you get fairies to combo later like a vanilla 2 mana 2/2 gain a fairy.

It is getting some new cards next expac so maybe those will help but the class's gimmick just doesn't mesh well with tempo right now.

And yeah, while other classes are getting crazy shit most of forest's new cards that would fit outside a tempo deck are trash or only mild upgrades over something that already exists.
