Why aren't there two different sets of dialogue during that mandatory call between 21O and 9S in route B, one for if you completed her side qs and one if you didn't? Of all the attention to detail and autism that this game did flawlessly, this one bothers me.
What's the meaning behind A2's last words? "I've never realized how beautiful this world is" It makes sense in a vacuum, but given the context it seems off.
Why does the corpse of 2B just disappear without a trace and why does 9S not even care for it?
Why does 2B care for 9S so much? Is it because E-models are literal secret agents and genuinely being someone's friend/lover is the best way to make them drop their guard?

Pretty much. If you get enough to increase it by twenty percent (which is the maximum) and look up the best route to take on youtube you can get it. Don't mix speed salve and movement chips though, I think that takes it over 20% and cancels it out.

It was a cannon to destroy the humans on the moon, because they didn't know there were no humans(?), but then at the end they change their mind after Adam and Eve and everything that goes on at the tower so they change it to an ark instead of a missile.

I still can't figure out how the fuck she even destroyed the tower. She hacks into 9S, then tells the pod to take him away to safety, then she goes to that big column of light and touches it. What the fuck even was that? Her voice when she told the pod to leave made it clear she was still in hacking-mode, but if she was in 9S did she just magically jump servers into the tower's main OS? How did she even do that to begin with when she needs a pod to hack things and the pod already left?

I've watched that scene three times and it still doesn't make any sense to me.

Finally got 100% completion
I'd rank this game a 6/10, above average, but that's it.

It feels like the game stretched itself out paper thin trying to fit everything into the final release and suffered for it. There are so many areas where the game could have fleshed out the content more meaningfully, but the game just skips over them and moves on. 2B and 9S are not likable characters. Neither is A2 who is very bland and one-dimensional compared to other RPG protagonists, but she's far more endearing than the other two which goes to show how shallow they are. 2B and 9S just exist in the context of the game, they don't contribute anything other than being witnesses to the events unfolding around them. 9S's mental breakdown after 2B dies is unsympathetic as a result. I can't imagine why anyone would care about him up to that point for his breakdown to hold any weight.

A2 is criminally underdeveloped and I suspect she was a victim of budget cuts. She is 2B "The Edgy Edition". 2B was just a pair of ass designed to ship games, which is not that great a start when her ass is not even that good compared to other games launched this year.

The story is all over the place and significant parts of the all three routes appear to be missing. What was the point of Adam and Eve existing in the game at all? Why should we give a damn about humanity going extinct when its revelation has no impact on the story itself? Same with the aliens. This is easily the weakest of the Yoko Taro games.

Poor story, repetitive (and pointless) combat, poor gameplay execution, bad graphics, bad performance on both consoles and PC, and really bad characters. At least the animations were good and the music was alright.

Combat and game play were hot garbage, but the longer I think about Drakengard 3 the more I like it. Zero is also a lot more charismatic compared to 2B/9S/A2. Saying that, it's had a lot longer to sit and stew in my mind compared to Automata, but I did feel more complete at the end of it as opposed to Automata.

Nier Automata did a bait and switch with its demo/prologue by showing off the best part of the game first and then throwing the player in a boring, drab open world with a lot of repetitive gameplay, annoying side quests, and very little pay off in terms of the story. Until you played the same story twice with a jarring hacking minigame.
