How the fuck are you guys playing FEHeroes on the PC? I just keep running into problems when I try. I downloaded nox and then I got the 803-3001 error. I did https://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?/topic/68725-fe-heroes-error-803-3001/&page=4#comment-4738296 this and now the game WILL start up and not give me 803-3001 errors, but it just loads forever, I can't get anything beyond the start menu.

Takumi's a more defensive archer, or is stronger on the enemy turn. He gets stronger from enemies entering his threaten spd field and damaging him so he can proc Revengeance. He has a lot more trouble dealing with mages and units that one-shot him, since he's not quite fast enough to double many of the popular foot mages (Fury Nino, Linde) and he isn't always strong enough to oneshot them, depending how they built themselves.

Klein is a more offensive archer who is significantly stronger on your turn. He has good res but he'll get doubled pretty easily. He has the brave bow, which allows him to one-round many enemies Takumi can't, but also makes him significantly weaker, particularly against other archers, on the defense.

All in all it depends on the rest of your team and how you play.

Holmes is actually a good unit, despite being a bow user, and there are a ton of overpowered units.

Don't waste a ton of xp on Zeig (might be Seig or Zeke now, I don't know), even though he's fantastic unit.

There's a ton of nonsensical recruitment, so there's no shame in using a guide, and there's a route split later on where certain characters get events only if they're in specific armies (you get to choose who goes there).

That's all I can think off. It's not that hard, it really. Runan's route doesn't have grinding, but Holmes' has a map you can grind on if you really want to level a unit you like up to being viable.

Also, make sure you take Narron.

I've seen a mixed opinion of that. If you're looking for a specific color/unit, might as well spend at 9 or 13 (as you're likely to get 2 or 3 of said color most of the time), but yeah. If you're just hoping for anything good (like me), going 20 at a time is ideal IMO

No, blue is the best color.
Red has way too many units, and their quality varies. While you should roll reds, you shouldn't focus on them.
Blue has a lot of very good units in their own right, and they have WTA over the fairly common red units. Focus on them.
Green counters the increasingly-common blues, but there's few good green units. Like red, roll them, but don't focus on them.
White shouldn't be rolled unless there's a banner unit you want. Once you roll a good healer that you like, stop rolling whites. You're liable to just get more shitty healers, shitty ninja, or archers which are merely okay.
And since you're starting so late, reroll until you get at least two 5*s with good IVs, one of which should preferably be a non-banner 5* (since they're rarer). Ninian + a good non-banner 5* should be enough to start you off, since dancing is very powerful. Check their IVs with one of these:

Honestly, it probably isn't that hard. He has the 5th highest raw Attack in the game (same as Ephraim, Linde and Fonzie) and a higher BST total than either. He already has the brave lance, so with deathblow you're hitting 39x2 atk every turn.

No it doesn't, because not everyone is using blues for offense.
And you sorely overestimate the thought most people put into their defense teams. Most I've seen seem like the player's best units all mushed together. And since the first banner had a ton of good reds, combined with the recent princess banner, you're going to be fighting plenty of reds. So you want a good blue, both to take out the common reds out and to fight the less common but more powerful blues (Linde, Azura, Nowi, etc.). Maybe that'll change once they have a banner with several obviously powerful and popular blues, but red is still the meta for now.

Florina doesn't really need leveling for this quest honestly, she won't have enough damage or defenses to fight anything in Tenth, so there's no point. But with 20+ health you could use Ardent twice for one of your actually useful units, so just a few levels isn't too bad.

Her skills are really useful for inheritance, especially Darting Blow 3 at 4*, but there's no other Flier that can heal so it's difficult to give her up.
