if you want the most EXP/h and you're a DPS, throw yourself at 1-10 or 51-60 potd runs. you'll need heavensward for 51-60 since you can't do 41-50 without it.

if you don't care about EXP/h but rather efficiency, or if you're a healer or tank, the highest level dungeon you are capable of running is the way to go. be sure you eat food, and do your leveling roulette as well.

it's not about the speed, 51-60 gives more EXP when you complete it. the two should be about similar clear speed, especially if your aetherpool is decently leveled. the reason it's 1-10 and 51-60 is because you can just reset and run them again.

So I'm still not sure how leveling and jobs work on this. I'm supposed to get to level 30 marauder, and 15 Gladiator so I can become a warrior. But I can also level both Marauder and Gladiator to 60 on their own?

for early dungeons i would recommend getting flash from gladiator and put it on your warrior, it's pretty useless once you switch from marauder to warrior though

there's also the crossclass skills that are fairly important and ultimately mean that was a warrior you want to get pugilist to 12 and gladiator/paladin to 34.

Islands below. They pop in counterclockwise order, and generally in order of MIN -> BTN. The gap between BTN and the next MIN node is enough that you don't need Cordial. You'll want to use one after MIN nodes though. Side note: these nodes also have Adamantite/Chysahl, for easy red scrip capping.

FSH are nigh useless right now but may see more use in 4.0 with all the water themed areas. Right now their exploratory missions are crap, and 9/10 things they can gather for you aren't used in anything. Leveling gear mats tend to be inexpensive, and the only mats that would be worth getting from expeditions would be drops like gelato pudding/chimera mane/dragon blood etc. Having a gathering retainer I think would save me some time in the long run instead of having to buy a 99 stack because there arent any other listings of the sort.

You'd be surprised the amount of times I have wanted to make gear for someone and needed skins, alumen, etc and the only ones on the board are stacks on 99. I mean I guess I should buy those for the future, but its kind of annoying. Killing monsters even when way above their level for mats is pretty troublesome so I think hunting retainers are the most useful. At least with BTN/MIN I know exactly how long its gonna take to get what I need.

The reason people wipe on Creator is almost never because its hard. Its because each group always has some people who take risks in order to eek out a tiny bit more DPS for their fflog parses to show off, and it ends up getting them killed. I see groups from /xivg/ that focus so much on their personal DPS that they make constant easy mistakes that snowball into a wipe because they were greedy, not because they are necessarily bad

I want whoever decided on this fish's requirements to be transferred to the Japanese Community team in hopes Yoshi forces them to die.

It lures you in with a reasonable and frequently occurring weather requirement, then forces you to catch the fish equivalent of BIGFOOT that requires Fish Eyes to even be catchable THREE TIMES, and half the day's cycle some motherfucking Allagan Robot Designed to RUIN YOUR DAY could be stuffing SHITTY JELLYFISH down the back of your pants.

Then if you somehow manage to luck out on that nonsense it requires a mooch you might not have the GP to use Patience for because you've been spamming Fish Eyes for the better part of twenty minutes trying to fit into the weather window and quaffing so many cordials you're certain out of the corner of your eyes some fucking dumb allagan robots are organising an intervention until finally you mooch on that Platinum Fish with 10 seconds to go and a fucking OIL EEL makes you wait 100 years of hope before nibbling on your line.

depends on the definition, there was very little in the 1.0 open world that needed to be done, you could antlion farm outside halatali for a lot of EXP when chained correctly.
However there was also lots of stuff you could do that you didn't need to, Chocobo caravans, the level 70 ogres whole linkshells needed to fight, the previously mentioned non-instanced dungeons.
The optimization was horrendous, it only looks alright because I was running it off a fairly beastly machine.
DESU the thing I miss most besides the special casting animations was Magic classes that made sense.

Sure, It wasn't a big deal but it was definitely the final nail on the coffin. I used to enjoy raiding with them, but once we began clearing content the overal mood only got worse and worse to the point where I didn't really enjoy raid anymore.

Add a consistent struggle to keep people together because stinky would meltdown every other week, delete our discord channels and fflogs before returning and having us stay up until 5am on a sunday so we can get his weekly page.

That continuous struggle made it seem like our group grew together, a through thick & thin kinda deal. But I guess I was wrong because my fuckup wouldn't be excused as just that and instead I got cucked to Hell and back.

I got plenty of dirt on me but that's one meltdown that should be understandable to some extend.

By now I'm invested in a new static and wish them the best of luck for 4.0 regardless.

Also the only reason why I tried to "manipulate" Gyo was because I felt like [my] entire world just fell into my back and plain misserable.

It would've helped a lot if at least the person I'm the closest to would've noticed how fucked up and unfair that was and stood up for me.
