Who else feels like the TTK is too quick in this game? The r97, Alternator, and CAR are the worst offenders, but most weapons have this issue.

It only takes half a second of mediocre aim to decimate someone with a hitscan. That shit is casual CoD tier, and tends to instantly award the player who sees the other first. That's no fun.

I think the current balance of the Volt should be the baseline for all weapons. You actually need decent aim to get kills with the volt. And when it's harder to frag people, then going fast is ever more important since hitting someone five times who's moving fast is a difficult feat.

Northstar pros, how do you rake in the damage in LTS? Northstar is great in normal play, but the low dps for LTS makes it hard to be a real help to the team

Northstar can routinely score first on the team with double the damage of second place. They key is to find a good poking spot. Repeatedly charge the rail gun to full, peek around the corner, peg titans in critical locations, and retreat around the corner to repeat. SMR is very quickly becoming my favorite gun. Super low TTK, big o'l magazine, 2 shot kill, and pretty decent projectile speed. Seriously, love this thing. Titans? Dead. Pilots? Dead.

It's also got a very good skill ceiling, leading targets with it makes you absolutely lethal, but you don't really need to for most stuff. I'm not sure how it compares to the EPG, it's probably about equal.

The recent EPG buff has lowered the EPG's skill ceiling. And you know, the weapon is practically meta for stacks, if that was the map you were in. It's an easy map to jump around in and get splash shots with the EPG, be on ground or on walls.

Oh jeez don't get me started. 90 damage or so on a bodyshot, then add the pretty good chance that you're gonna hit them with the splash damage, or someone will graze you them with an smg, or an arc grenade.... It's so good.

Also, someone mentioned the slight spread, I think it actually benefits the gun a bit in this case, not sure why, but it feels like it. Furthermore, the smoke from the smr shots seems to smokescreen a little.

There are just so many good things about this gun.

If your enemy knows how to stay mobile and airborne it becomes much harder to get kills with, especially on people midair because with direct hits one burst can not kill. So you have to wait for them to land/predict it to get a kill. During that ariborne time you're exposed to their most likely histcan weapons.

One thing I've learned with ronin is you never engage a legion except to take potshots at his back and run away, or execute him if he's doomed. His shotgun can one-shot 90% of your health in one go.

I also found that sticking near a friendly legion keeps my ass alive a lot longer. I let him soak in the damage and dash around the fight until I see my chance to get in and fuck a tone / ion / northstar. Scorch is also okay to fight, but he takes a lot of dodging around.

Legions are 100% avoid tier
