I have been autistic since I was little, and I struggled. Struggled in school, social interaction, the whole package. Years later, after getting a tiny bit more control on it and such, I got overwatch. I immediately became a Symmetra main, due to how much I enjoyed playing her, and how much I found her easy. Then, after a while, she gets a whole rework. I enjoy it, and continue playing. Then, I hear news that she's on the spectrum.

My face lit up with joy.

She was always hated, and I continued playing. Just...seeing her have autism, and seeing her try her hardest to make the world good, and getting through everything as hard as she can just...wow.

Thank everyone on the Overwatch team for this. Idk. I can't put into words how seeing this (old) news makes me feel. Downvote for all i care, just...thanks....

He's not as good as Lucio and the enemy Ana will just shit all over your ult, making it basically worse than useless because you can't even cancel it to attack.

She's trash outside her ult. Waste of a DPS slot.

Pharmercy stops being effective the moment enemy hitscan can start aiming. So platinum, maybe. Rez is powerful but nanoboost is leagues better if used right. Mercy doesn't have enough utility or healing to justify picking her just for the ult.

Game balance is currently a fucking mess and has been for a while. Boring as watching paint dry when nearly every team is the same comp. Some combo of

>Winston/Rein/Zarya/Roadhog
>Ana/Lucio
>76 and maybe Genji/Tracer

23 heroes and only like 9 are viable enough to be useful.

I honestly find 76 very easy to counter as Pharah, assuming you're not just hovering in the sky making yourself an easy target for him. Hovering below his sightline if he's on highground or concussion blasting over to him to kill him in two hits is fairly easy, especially with a pocket

That's partially true. Worst case is I'm taking a soldier out of the fight by distracting him but that's a fight I will win 80% of the time then shit on your team with ease. Switching to zen and a second hitscan never helps a team because I'm directly taking 3 heroes out of the fight. Any good pharah knows when they're going get outplayed by the soldier and switches off in the first two minutes. The pick rate in gm is small but I'm willing to bet we have among the highest win rates.

It's a definite buff to Lucios who are Widow-hunting flankers since he moves SO FAST when speed + wallride

His healing rate is NOTICABLY better and this makes him quite tanky now, think killing an Ana. With his speed boost he's so slippery no Lucio should ever die to Winston.

As for overall though, I'm not so sure. The new range is quite restrictive, and requires solid teamplay.

Anyway, I think Blizzard should just go with "bloating kits", in general. They did it with Ana, so why not come with new stuff for the original heroes too. Make the game(play) more nuanced and fun.

I've been seeing a LOT of good Sombra players on PTR. Seems like people have finally figured out how she works, and her cooldown buffs, quieter decloaking, and hacked medpacks being visible to the team have been amazing for her gameplay. I've lost count of how many times a Sombra has fucked me personally over by sneak-hacking me and teleporting out or just popped out of nowhere to EMP my team ahead of a big enemy push.

And holy fuck is she pretty much a death sentence for Orisa.

if you have "prefer healing target" on you will only fly to whoever your healing. if it's off than you will fly to whoever you're looking at regardless of who you're healing

the former lets you save yourself from falling off edges and makes following people around corners and such a bit easier, the latter lets you zip about without interrupting your healing, you can only choose one or the other

it should pull you to whoever you're healing when you're not looking at someone and pull you to whoever you're looking at regardless of who you're healing if you are looking at someone

The good:

Sounds corny, but check out Codey's streams. Positioning, flank routes and hack priority are very important and can easily be learned. You need to be able to disengage from any fight with a translocator placed beforehand., the only exception is when you're going for an EMP. Also you need to be able to lock down high-ground on every map it's available (so pretty much all of them except Oasis).

Her skill ceiling is one of the highest in the game (equal or greater than Genji, imo) so a lot of it will come with time and practice.

However, if the team in the video helped each other out a little bit (by switching accounts, maybe) they'd soon be at the same level - in the game's eyes, that is - and could continue to queue as a team. Sombra was just a wildly different style of play than people were used to and so didn't know how ot deal with it.

Orisa is literally a walking Bastion who can tank. AND she has a ranged AoE shield that's only slightly weaker than Reinhardts shield.

Here's what you need, two healer, two tank, you take your choice of one defense and one offense. So that's gonna be for example maybe a Mei to block the choke and Soldier to pick off Pharahs and flankers

She's an excellent Defense tank for staying in one spot. Her barrier is great (though it is much weaker than Rein's and only 300HP more than Winston's and has good side coverage but no rear coverage) and you can place it anywhere, Fortify makes her immovable and much harder to hurt, and you can do some serious shenanigans with her Gravity Ball. Supercharger is a massive tide-turner as well, plop it down in a good spot and watch the enemy team melt like taffy under your team's withering fire.

However, only 400 health with 200 of it being armor makes her one of if not THE squishiest tank in the game under normal circumstances. Her headbox is HUGE, you can aim above her barrier and if she's behind it she can still be hit. She has absolutely no movement abilities and firing halves her movement, so being caught in a sticky situation is a very bad thing. And a good Sombra is a death sentence for Orisa, without her abilities she's a sitting duck. Orisa definitely needs a good coordinated team to see her full potential.

What if you were allowed to shoot during sitting/resting emotes?

I had a guy playing soldier in comp the other night CONSTANTLY running far from the team and getting in 1v3+ situations and dying despite both us healers constantly warning him we can't heal out of line of site, so then he switches to mei and they get a pharah. He started bitching ENDLESSLY about pharah, so we said he should go back to soldier and he says

Being a healer is a pain desu. I enjoy playing support, but with OW specifically it seems you always get stuck with that position as few people want to heal and people don't understand as a healer you're a huge target and if they let an offense/sniper take you out there's literally nothing you can do. I cannot heal you when I'm respawning and walking back to the point.

So why is Roadhog allowed to one-shot? His hook is already basically a confirmed kill and possibly one of the best CCs in the game. It seems so unreasonable that he should also do a fuckton of damage by himself. Have him hide in a corner and then he one-shots your healer, doesn't really matter if he dies, the trade is much more worth it

It really sucks because at the level I am at in comp it is a coin toss whether anyone is semi competent in the role they pick.

It seems like if I go support, we heal fine, but the dps/tanks are all over the place. If I go dps, we do fine, but support is all over the place.

If I get a team going, we get matched against crazy six stacks.


Barely anyone protects the healers, too, so I'm constantly asking for help if they are running flankers/winston/pharah, and my team is half the time getting ANGRY at me for dying to those things when they won't try and help me with it.
