A 'Lord' a catchall term for that character that is force deployed and causes a game over when killed.

A 'Lord' in terms of gameplay is a class that not all characters considered a 'Lord' mentioned above (whether it's by IS or by fans).

A 'Lord' in terms of story is a huge list that forms a significant chunk of recruitable characters as well as enemies.

These 3 concepts use the same terms because at one point, no differenciation was necessary (in terms of gameplay) and changing it now is impossible as the term is too engraved in the community's mind.

Stop being retarded. Lucina is a lord of criteria 2 and 3. Ike in PoR is a lord of the criteria 1 and 2 and later meets the 3rd criteria as well but loses it in RD. Nephenee and Sothe and others meet criteria 1 and 2 but only for certain maps.
