After some disappointment with Gen, i'm probably skipping out on XX, assuming it gets a western release.

0. Install MHXX, don't launch it so it doesn't create a savefile.
1. Install https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-mhx-data-manager.434848/ in your 3DS
2. Launch it and select "copy character"
3. Copy character from MHG to MHX
4. Then "delete all quests" from the option menu (just in case)
5. Launch MHXX and spam A to transfer your char from MHX to MHXX.
(if step 3 doesn't work you might need to install MHX and create a character)

I would delete all event armor just in case before doing this, but you can try without deleting them first and seeing if the game crashes while accessing the equip sets screen. Also it doesn't hurt to backup your extdata with savedatafiler or something before.

If you can:
Access equip set screen without crashing
Use and edit shoutouts without crashing
Access event quest screen without crashing

You got it wrong, gimping yourself is running a set with less skills and potentially much less defense (LR/HR parts) for the sake of fashion.
People made that decision because they valued fashion over performances or because they were confident in their skills.
I'm not crying or calling it a nightmare, I'm saying it's sad to lose something like that because it made the whole MH experience more unique.
You won't see people running sets with little useful skills because they like them and see how they manage to beat the harder quests with it.

Tempest Axe charges insanely fast and lasts for a very long time even at level 1. The Art makes your Hunter Glow orange, and makes your X+A>AAAAA infinite combo slowly get faster, consume less stamina, and combo into that cool new finisher after a certain point.

New finisher looks like it hits extremely fucking hard, and you can go into it by pressing X during the back and forth swipes.

To transfer your MHG save to MHXX you need:
* MHG savefile in your console
* MHX savefile in your console (You can install MHX, create a character, then uninstall the CIA if your SD is running out of space)
* Have MHXX installed

Steps:
1. Install MHXX, don't launch it so it doesn't create a savefile.
2. Install https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-mhx-data-manager.434848/ in your 3DS
3. Delete lodster/strider sets from your GEN save before using the app
4. Launch the app and select "copy character" to copy a slot from MHG to MHX (If you get "Unable to open extdata" it means you don't have a MHX save in your console)
5. Select "delete all quests" to delete event quests.
6. Launch MHXX and follow the instructions to transfer your character from MHX to MHXX (spam A)

If you can:
Access equip set screen without crashing
Use and edit shoutouts without crashing

After 3 swipes, small gusts of wind appear around your hunter and the swipes begin to increase in speed. After 5-6 swipes, large gusts of wind appear around your hunter with every swing and your attacks become even faster, probably around 1.5x faster than normal swipes. At any time, you can press R to go into the triple roundhouse finisher, or X to go into the new Super Finisher. Can confirm, Aerial CB double hit glitch no longer works. Tried against Barroth across multiple hunts, attempting multiple timings. Never was able to, so it's probably fixed.

Chain Saucer charges absurdly quickly. Like, as fast as Absolute Evasion. Level 1 executes in about a full second, can be dodged out of very quickly, and guarantees 3 phials. A very very good art IMHO. Will be very useful for Aerial.

My point wasn't that all of those weapons were good, my point was that all of those monster's weapons are being invalidated.

Also, Gore is not strictly worse than Shagaru since Generations and is often better, I expected Valfark to have really sharp weapons, and the Bone Nakarkos weapons have such exceptionally high raw that, at least in Generations, I think they're actually better than the Alatreon weapons on some sets.

Shit MV's are potential damage leaks. It applies to bows, dbs and sns pretty badly and needs a high element, element coating 2 and element attack+3
True shot is only a buff in power shots which are only half the time, and as far as gen is concerned there wasnt enough armor variety to fit trushot with the element skills. High element + ElementUp3 is basically the equivalent of doubling your raw which not even 100% critboost can achieve, with your shottypeUp skill is doing more damage than trushot does thanks to firing normal shots and then linking directly to a powershot instead on only using powershots.

Brave gets double powershots in XX so things will be different.

No, that means the weapons are allowed more variety.
Most of the top Bows, SnS and DBs have always been pure raw or blast focused on raw (Kama,Teo for bow, Molten/Hellblade for SnS and a large set of weapons including Akantor, Hellblade, Molten and Gog for DB)
Low MV means you can run pure element sets without losing too much damage in the process. They attempted to balance that with GS with charge modifier but didn't do anything more.

I don't think you understand how math works. Motion values on arrows don't mean nearly as much when pretty much every shot you take is multiplied by 3.375, 3.075, or at least 2.25.
Bows can certainly use high element, but there are very few times the top times on the weapon aren't dominated by raw weapons. For example, the best element bow in Gen is Heaven's Mana, and that still loses out to Memes and Dreams on anything but vanilla Glavenus.
