Alas, Pluto never got the chance because he had to Bahamut into Khawy or die.

That draft was really dumb. I literally had all of 10 or so minions other than Khawys. Over half of my deck was removal. I had 3x copies of Voices too, all of which got played in their 8 mana form this game going 2 for 1.

Even with almost no minions in the early game, still went 4 wins. Khawy is pretty busted in T2, particularly when you just remove literally everything until you get to turn 7.

Cygames killed OTK roach, nerfed tempo rune, saved blood with the new amulet, gives control sword and dirtrune a card to compete against Dshift. They are capable company. Do you seriously believe they will let dragon get eaten alive forever by Khawy? Dragon WILL get banish card whether you like it or not. There is a reason why the dragon legendary(ouroboros) is the "final boss" in the expansion trailer and the last one to be revealed. Both of them going to be gamebreaking for sure.

So here's the thing, if it's running both petrifcation against Csword, and Fire chain to maybe kill the golem (more than likely they'll have to give up a destroyer as well) then it's sabotaging the standard build which tries to go online asap.

Forcing Dshift to do other things that aren't cantrip spellboost is a step in the right direction. Although the right thing is to delete it from the game.

Fire Chain is rarely used in the current build, so it'll be slowed down if it's forced to tech such options. It's meant to give you a means to close out a game faster as necessary, in which case you weren't going to be playing those sigils anyway. Worst case scenario I can think of outside of random banes is Haven burning a Themis on your single follower, which is still pretty fucking good.

What I like most about it and Illusionist (even though Illusionist is total garbage) is the fact that they support the deck without actually having Earth Rite abilities to fuck with your tutors.

Gem golem already won me matches against d-shift, this card will be even stronger. If you drop a 10/10 on turn 6 against d-shift they'll either concede or lose a flame destroyer trying to kill it. A properly played control sword isn't going to die on turn 5-6 to midrange sword. The point of 3 Tsubaki and 3 Alwida's is to give your deck the ability to go as long as it needs to in order to win. Plenty of games finished on turn 9 or 10 with Albert.

You don't get the heal with Saha, you get the AoE. When you play it you get the heal.

Honestly seems like a direct upgrade from Luci other than the fact that 9 mana means it curves badly from Saha. You usually want the tempo more than the heal if you're rushing things from the board.

As somebody who plays Shadow, the only reason they would have a difficult time at that point is either because you're Nep Shadow and have gimped your curve or are fighting Sword or Aggro Blood that has gone 1st against you.

A lot of the time it's a mixture of both.

If you play a more normal Aggro or Midrange Shadow which runs stuff like Lurching, Reaper, and Necroassassin, then frequently you're actually forward on board by that point since you have some of the best value plays in the game.

Yes there is, simply because aggro is much cheaper and there's a flood of new players from recent HS fiasco. There will always be aggro players as long as it's cheap and the win rate isn't completely tank. Realistically their win rates aren't going to drop that much just because there are turn 7 options and a few cards that could hurt them that the opponent may or may not draw.

As Mordecai and Khawy are key lynchpins to the entire archetype, pretty much no Nep deck has a consistent 2345 curve anymore and all of them have dropped Skull Beast.

For the full package of Last Word and Reaper synergies there's Lurching, Attendant, Bone Chimera, Necroassassin, Urd, and Shadow Reaper.

Nepdecks all gives up some part of Shadow's early to midgame to ensure consistency with Nep.

Reapers are usually never used in Nepdecks as they would prefer getting 100% consistency on Mordecai and Khawy rather than grow a Reaper for 3 by having one on field.

The Necroassassin and Urd use requires a good amount of small or last word followers to maintain good value. However Nep decks cannot run 2 drops(Lurching), 3 drops(Attendant), and 4 Drops(Necroassassin) all at once so they rarely go for the last word synergy package.

2578 Nep gives up nearly their entire midgame just so they can also Howl combo.

Nepdecks are really varied though basically the gist remains the same, they play a gimped early game for one of the strongest lategames in the game.

The vast majority of Shadow's efficient removal is single-target, which is awful against literally every good aggressive deck in the game's history. The class' anti-aggro revolves entirely around getting breath down. Not even Tempest is good enough nowadays because all of the above decks just get more fuel after being cleared and/or storm you down unless you can seal the board with wards.

Thane is shit against aggro just like almost everything else in the class that isn't Breath or Khawy, but if aggro is a non-issue then he's a solid midgame pressure play (especially because he gives you a free ward to cover your ass in later turns).
