He'd heal 50% every turn or every-other-turn (20-25 HP) ever other encounter as opposed to 10 HP ever 3 turns. The downside? He loses 5 Spd...off of 25. He was always slow. He loses nothing -13 BST if you're an Arena points hound and gains a SHITTON. I'm loving this.

Anyway, Effie's a fairly simple unit. Effie exists to be an early game tank, to oneshot fuckers, and to eventually pass on her genes to a unit like Velouria. No need for any fancy reclassing. Her speed will probably be too low for her defenses to be good mid-game, so you'll probably want to promote her to General at least initially, but she probably shouldn't stay there past getting Wary Fighter.

He's bad against Armors, especially Blue armors.
Outrageously good against anything green and all mages.

I vital component to my Cav Meme Team is now finished. He's the only unit I've spent 20k feathers on (technically 22k) and I don't regret it in the least; they were being saved for him in the first place. -Def is not great though the +HP very, very, very slightly offsets that, however he usually turns out just fine.

For anyone wondering, with Gunter alone as support, Durandal Eliwood is generally 38x2 damage on neutral units and 52x2 on green units. He kills everything except blues and armors in one exchange. Admittedly, armors give him a lot of trouble since they usually have super high defense and great attack themselves which isn't great for Eliwood. Mage (Reinhardt) takes care of that problem easily, however, just as Eliwood takes care of any of Reinhardt's. Great synergy!

I legitimately like the art, actually. The color and armor looks great and I have to admit I never even notice his eyes. Durandal looks good, too.

It's totally fine. +Spd is welcome on any unit and (paired with Gunter) guarantees his safety from doubling against everything that isn't a Brave weapon. As I have a -Def as well, I can tell you his massive neutral Atk and Spd lets him off just fine. He's actually extremely good at baiting mages since he has good Res and Sacred Cowl to make it basically a non-issue.

"Good enough" makes it seem bad, but it's not at all. You've got good units. If you think you'll be getting more Eliwoods in the future and you don't need him right now, I guess you can hope for a neutral or +Atk IV spread but that's completely unnecessary. There's an 8/10 chance you'll just get something neutral or bad. If you're ready and willing to promote Eliwood to 5*, go for it! Your cavalry team will love you and you've already got Gunter!

But remember, ONLY 5* Eliwood is worth anything. Durandal makes a HUGE difference in his power. He does learn Ward Cavalry at 4-stars, so you might be able to pass that skill along to someone else, though.

Healers really don't work great in offense arena. They have low bst and hold back your score and having another attacking unit or a dancer is usually much more useful since a decent chuck of battles are decided in one round.

They are pretty good in the campaign/GHB though.

Low BST, and most enemies are glass cannons that kill too fast to heal an ally back up. Plus, their weak offense limits your versatility.

I know Lissa has that skill that's a practical full recovery, but I can't justify gimping myself like that. Still use healers all the time when grinding and doing story mode, though.

I love Wrys, but their shit stats aren't the only problem. Rehabilitate is pretty much the only staff worth using. Sakura with her physic staff and healing skill for example, heals only ~13 hp/turn. That's fucking nothing. To make matters worse, most of my kills(and deaths I guess) are OHKO or gangbangs in which a unit wouldn't survive. So not only do healers fail to fucking heal, they usually lack the opportunity to do so. This is only going to get worse when every unit is sporting death blow and some incredibly powerful attack skill and shit. They're fine in PvE(hell healers were pretty key in some of the strategies I saw for the ursula map), but even then I'd typically rather just bring an extra combat unit and rush through a map.

I wouldn't consider the -Def to be awful since he can easily tank a hit in just about every melee encounter and kill with the other half of his 2x. You can also think thatn Neutral or +Def would only be 23 or 26 Def which still isn't phenomenal.

Just be conscious that Eliwood has low defence. Really, that only means "don't make him fight Armored units" unless they're green. Even daggers or bows aren't scary since Sacred Cowl has 2 Cooldown and removes 30% of the damage...but keep it in mind, too.

Eliwood is anti-mage especially, and a phenomenal blitzkreig against anything green or neutral. A perfect fit into literally any Cav team.
