None of it makes sense. I just assume that the galactic EMP is what the weapon was always meant to do and the designers just wanted a flashy way of setting it off. Synthesis and Control are just pure magic though.

One of the devs went on Twitter and said that the next cycle just builds the Crucible and uses it, so yeah they defeated the Reapers. No one said it was the Raloi though. They probably got wiped out this cycle.

Yes.

The Leviathans tell you that the Catalyst sent 'drones' after them but doesn't specify what they were. The implication is that the Catalyst just replaced those forces with the Reapers in the few billion years since then.

I hear the DA Inq criticism as well, usually pertaining to endless fetch quests but not the story (aside from forced diversity complaints) but I enjoyed the gameplay well enough, though i too would have preferred DAO style play. I didn't finish the story for DAI. I think if its basically DAI in space, it'd still be a step up from ME3 overall. (still can't get the bad taste of the ending out of my mouth. also your choices don't matter etc)
Combat looks pretty fun hence my looking forward to MP. dumped lots of hours into that.

I do wish the face animations and models were brought up to current gent levels of detail (yes its a tired criticism) but i dunno what anybody can say *now* that will change their minds.
