Just skip it, there's nothing after the Minireena section in the night and it's a waste of time trying to do the RNG shit. Type in %appfiles% in the start menu, hit enter, find SL's file, and then right click and select edit MMFA files. There should be a text box that pops up. Change the "Night= 4" to 5, and presto you've done more work than Scott did testing for quality control.

Night 4 is really dumb in that it's hard to figure out what's killing you. There really needed to be a separate death for the springlocks going off, if only so you can figure out what killed you.

THEM are Lovecraftian, but not the meme definition of Lovecraftian (dark and unknowable even to the author, aka the lazy, easy way out), but actually Lovecraftian even down to the flaws. At the Mountains of Madness had a similar setup of giving explicit definitions and functions to the 'unknowable' Elder beings, which in a sense neutered any sense of fear they had. And while Shoggoths didn't 'harvest' emotions, the idea of a being absorbing madness to power itself fits the motif pretty well. Lovecraft was not a perfect writer.

Rugrats' universe very narrowly fits Lovecraftian at all, the only time it came close was when Bonnie went to the dimension between dimensions and met those other Gods, and even then it was more poking fun at Lovecraftian conventions since Rugrats' universe seems to thrive on dark comedy. Skinman does not strike me as a Lovecraftian entity.

That seams plausible, but why would it also be tied into a criminal database if it was meant to provide access to things?
It seams more likely that they could only make out that the killer was an adult, that's why "they just stare" at the adults (trying to scan the faces and see if it adds up to what they think the killer is, assumingly a employee, hence why the went after Jeremy) and interacted with the kids "just fine".

Basically, there was a reason for the database, probably from an incident that happened before (Give Cake Minigame) and implemented it in the Toys to prevent any future accidents. Or at least that's my guess.

Well that's the thing. Scott set it up like it was going to be really important, but after its initial introduction it was never mentioned again. I always figured it was a holdover from another version of the story Scott ended up not going with, and now it's up there with fnaf 1's night five phone call and "it's me" as things that are way more interesting specifically because Scott never bothered to expand on them.

I was wondering if the springsuit failure was intentional, rather than paranormal. As in, William engineered them to fail. It's multiple and simultaneous, so it's a good way to say "hey, we should ditch these suits and give these robot ideas a shot instead", giving him a good way to point suspicion towards somebody else, by having them get increasingly aggressive. "Multiple and simultaneous" could just have been a freak accident that happened with one or two suits, those same failures happened multiple times and simultaneous and Purple got in the Spring Bonnie Suit.

That and Phone Guy says that they only got aggressive after an incident (kid murders) happened.

And seeing as how Afton himself wore the suit, put people in the suit, and even killed in the suit. Designing it to fail on top of it already having a high chance to fail seems unlikely.

I hate it, but I don't regret reading it. It's a book adaptation of a video game, my expectations were extremely low, so that there was any redeeming value whatsoever (Fredbear's, the very end in the Pizzeria, Afton stabbing the police officer, the Springsuit torture scene) made it have the rare pleasant surprise. It's more annoying because it's just so unnecessary, and Sister Location took what little it added to the table and altered to the point of unrecognizability anyways.

Phone Guy describes it as "multiple simultaneous" meaning they happened at the same time with multiple springsuits. The odds of that happening are pretty low, so it's either a ghost's doing or it was a feature.

The calls also mentions that if the Spinglocks do go off to move away from the crowd to bleed out or die.

All the Springlocks went off meaning that the performer could not move off stage and away from the crowd. Like what happened to Purple Guy, but in front of kids that had parents that were outraged/shocked that someone just died in a pretty gruesome way in front of them.

Not one of the doomcriers but we do have a new issue that is going to take adapting to and it's that we've never had less OCfags. Crisis returning this morning was a great sign, but Mizu and Snax have both been quiet, and OCfags like Ace, Cake, and Vaw visit very irregularly so that if we don't get used to image dumps during dead hours we risk losing threads now unless we get new bloods or if old OCfags return to start posting content again.

It was that he let loose a bit of previously unknown lore that made people super interested in her and then proceeded to draw nothing but his trio of furbait waifu bots.
He made something both fairly interesting and easily waifuable that a majority of the thread would adore, and instead chose to actively ignore that in favor of something mildly popular but extremely divisive.
And honestly, I didn't even mind the semi regular deviation into OC territory, but the snubbing of some genuinely interesting character development, the over-saturation of his OCs, and the downright autistic following they garnered whenever he posted them went a long way to souring Vaw's reputation in more than a few people's eyes at the time.
When an artist shows up and the thread starts to look like the comments section of e621, that probably a good indicator they're doing something wrong.

That said, we're probably not going to get any more any time soon. Hell, most of our active OCfags only post here out of habit anymore, or as some kind of formality.
Any attention they get here is insignificant compared to sites like Tumblr or DA. Nobody really says anything worth saying here, and the community aspect of the thread itself has long since lost its appeal thanks to off site communication and the general air of hate this place projects so regularly.

Not so, Crisis almost single handedly kept this place alive for a while when it got really bad. Mizu kept nights alive almost single handed for a while less than two months ago. We hit a funk alright, but we hit a funk in January too, we've had threads die in the past, we've had inactivity spurts, and this year kind of had a terrible start. But we've been declaring this general dead since late 2015, and we're still here. We definitely need new faces and for Anon to be more responsive to people that do post OC, team effort and all, but the thread has been far worse than the past couple weeks before. Never give up.
