So one of my friends told me that in MotB you can influence your companions' personality and etc a lot, similar to how you can do it in KotoR 1 & 2 and change their alignment and corrupt or redeem people.

I really liked that feature from those games and having a lot of influence over your companions. DAI has no best Romances, they're all sort of bland in terms of character development or chemistry.
I mean, they're all designed to go well with a blank-slate.

DAO had the benefit of both a silent (ie, projectable) protagonist as well as the fact that there was actual character development in each Romance

DA2 actually has the best romances in my opinion, what with the friend/rivalmance system as well as the fact that it's not purely based on your approval levels so you can have interesting chemistry at times.

DAI has ONE romance with development, but it's also so gated that it's basically having you rewrite your character for the person you're romancing: Solas.

DA2: They're all good honestly. I liked Isabela (I have 3DPD stockholm syndrome) the most but Sebastien, Merrill, Fenris, Even Anders are all pretty good.

DAI: Solas is best, everyone else is able to be skipped.

It's the best thing to come out of DAO to be honest.
DAO kinda exploded on the scene but I didn't think much of its story or anything, everything interesting was shown in tiny splashes.

DA:A expanded a lot of the stuff from DAO while keeping the same general tonal throughline. Architect and Mother were both superior to the Archdemon in a big way, the companions were superior (replacing inferior Alistair with superior pre-DA2 Anders was great) and the structure of the story was similar to DAO (Gotta go to the various locations, then you get a companion from most of them) but I felt like DA:A did it better in that you're almost explicitly looking for people to recruit, in addition to your Warden investigations.

Plan most of your Side Questing on what seems interesting and what doesnt.
Look up on the Wiki for what gear you want to get so you dont get baited into exploring EVERYTHING.
Once you've finished a zone, never touch it again. This game does not lend itself well to enjoying shit for its own sake.

Also, learn cross-class combos to burn through enemies more easily. They feel the best of all the combat options and have a nice slow-mo effect.

Im doing awakening now, do I send my troops to the city, the farmland, or do I protect trade?
