I milled all the other factions to make a control NG deck, and now I regret it, since NR and ST look pretty interesting.

Monsters and Skellige feel like 50/50. Then you have ST, then NG and finally NR.
I rarely see NR, and when I do, is usually some experimental-goofy shit, with things like Triss:Butt and Dandelion, but is just a joke deck, so they go all in during the first round and then immediately forfeit at the beginning of the second cause there is no way to rebuild strength.
Main problem of NR right now, they lack a way, good way' to transfer strength between rounds.
NG has the engineer to apply AR to whatever they want, ST has resilient units and ways to buff them to infinite and beyond, SK can use Morkvarg and Olgierd + Ciri and Roach to have a constant presence in the board, and monster carry shit naturally and have the nekkers, which appear when the others die at the end of the round.

Pretty sad, imo.
The game is lowest point of interest to me, only second to that moment when 90% of the matches were Radovid Control with tripe Borkh every match.

Curious. I actually consider it the worst one.
Is the only one that, if you are unlucky, might not even happen during a match.
And even if it does, it can be negated by things like shackles and D. bomb.
On the other hand, ST will always have their choice, so will NG, all SK cards will get their buff every round and monsters will always carry a unit, as shitty as it might be.

Henselt - you can hit any machines, this denies reinforcements, useful with decoy too if you want to clear their rein targets and then take them with vicovaros.

Foltest - mostly the same, redeli, medics ect

in dorf - healers, are priority then maybe mercs,

skellige - preistesses are the best but they have to play them early. skellige is a great deck to assire things on, assire totally counters king bran

NG spy - spotters if your'e running emmisaries play one then sweers to deny thinning.

otherwise it's a hard call, just what you think is best.

Well i'm glad you asked.

Monster golds are fairly strong when you look at their comparative prices for cards.
Woodland spirit 200 10 + foglets(6) = 16 and weather immune. spawns fog
Caranthir 200 12 + weather immune spawns frost

Most golds in the game are valued around 14 so being higher than that makes them exceptionally good.

The additional weather they spawn makes them a heavy hitting pair.

Then you just fill the other two spots with neutral golds of your choice.
They're also the only faction right now that can use weather silvers well.

Monsters has a leader who is a skill guy riding a black horse which actually has an impact too.

Not to mention monsters and NR are both simpler factions, to create a top tier monster deck it's far cheaper than creating one for Scoia'tael

Prior to this, you basically couldn't control their board, because Morkvarg is usually their biggest unit, and he protects the rest from scorch, and can't be killed, and they're basically weather immune, because armorers are weather immune and negate weather effect, except for buffs from Skalds.

There aren't many units that lock other units, so it's not that big of a difference, SK will probably get more minor nerfs.

monsters swarm a lot since they can pull guys directly from the deck with a bunch of effects or spawn tokens with several cards

the strongest monster deck atm makes a bunch of nekkers and buffs them by playing units that eat other units allowing them to move stats across rows, they are a bit similar to the dwarf buff deck since they focus on one row

you can also use a more weather heavy deck that focuses more on crippling your opponents units while having a few guys that don't care about the weather

I am playing weather and I can confirm for the amount of scrap the Deck cost it has really good result.

The fact that you don't really need legendaries but only Epic cards is a God send.

The only problem is that against Dorf you will probably lose for not having tempo cards (if you are poor like me).

Tips : double weather cards are essential, it makes a lot of match up easier. I prefer them to the Crono witch.
