Kennen was always good. People just don't gravitate towards him because he's literally Sonichu. If a champion isn't designed well (Urgot, old WW) they tend to rest on the back burner.

Kennen is a great champion though. His damage output can get pretty crazy and he has a lot of utility (stuns). He sees a bit of pro play. Like all yordles he's obnoxious to lane against.

There are so many straight-up toxic champions like that though. Heimerdinger comes to mind - I always say you don't lane against Heimerding, you're actually -forced- to lane around him. And I'm fine changing my playstyle to match who I'm facing but with Heimerdinger it's just a whole other level of shifting your playstyle to match his cancerous kit.

First of all his sheilds are op and have low cooldown, secondly your Q root and hits easily a lot then if you buy athene you also heal people you sheild in team fights constantly.

Bushes remove vision and ulti is like a good player in team fight that never fucks up - because he's a bot.
