Trading is good on attack because your spawn is much closer to the objective most of the time. Whereas trading on defense puts your team at a disadvantage because the enemy will be with his team quicker, leaving the enemy team a small window where the fight is 6v5 in their favor.

What's better to do in placements, healing or tanking?

Ana main but I was getting stressed as shit solo healing my first placement match. We still won, but I thought 2 people were trying to throw.

Won second placement tanking as Zarya and really enjoyed myself.

It might be just my graphical settings but I can never tell when I'm still discorded or if Zen is still healing me.
The small purple vignette is unnoticeable especially on darker maps like Kings Row, same with yellow on brighter maps.
Would it be too much to have a HUD indicator when a Harmony or Discord orb is on you, like when Mercy is healing or boosting you.
Is it just my tunnel vision? Audio cues don't really work that well when you're in the middle of a fight.

If you have a decent enough dps crew going to block the front, I think defense Winston is great. Jump in, make them all turn around to protect healer, jump out, repeat. Defense is all about wasting time. Even if I suicide bomb it, I at least try and make it into a benny hill themed chase.

What the fuck Chu trying to do with the story? It seems like he's taking it in this weird "lol tolerance" direction by pushing all this pro-omnic stuff like the latest comic. Take for example the current omnic heroes that all just happen to be advocates for peace. They even just had a chance to make an omnic hero that coukd hate humans for example, but they went with the Dindu model. This game could have had an interesting story about the dangers and potential of AI and can robota be consisered to be alive, but instrad they degraded it to political activism.

It's based on pure luck and hidden MMR if you're solo.

Here's what happens in diamond

In Gold you just have to deal with people who tilt easily because they think they know about the game. If at Silver you just need to be good at 1 or 2 guys then you can breakthrough, at Gold you gotta get good at multiple heroes, heroes you don't use. When I learned Pharah and Zarya, gold was easy. Know when to switch when things aren't going well, and what to switch to. Rarely will people switch for you especially in Gold because they don't have the skill and they don't take it well.

Genji and 76 ult are the big problems because they are harder to hit and the ult continues
The projectile is tricky but once you get the hang of it you can land pretty accurately espesically on bigger targets
The main thing is: there is a slight delay from when you input the command to when it actually fires, like .5s. So the best way I find is to track the target, fire, and instantly flick after firing for that last .5s adjustment.
