I legit think Crumpets is the first expansion. It's been regularly(twice daily) updated since Warhammer launched last may and we know the first expansion began work in early February 2016. I originally thought it was Bretonnia but Crumpets2 was Bretonnia.

Bagel and bamboo appeared when Bretonnia was unveiled in November.

The Promo DLC's are now unencrypted. The last one 1.48mb(if that isn't really 1.48gb) sounds like a unit or lord. If its 1.48gb then that could legit be a minor faction pack. Perhaps "Southern Realms pack" they would only need 1 LL each with a unique unit and building for each state.

Promo A and B appeared in January 2017. That sounds like a choice voted for by the players.

Poopoopeepee DLC worth it if I like horde gameplay? Do they have cool units? Never really played against them due to the beast fucking shits always getting rekt in a few turns offscreen.

Really liked being able to replenish my losses in battle in like a turn while still being able to move 50% with chaos. Only thing that bothered me is the undivided shtick and Archaon being an unlikeable fag.

i had fun playing their mini campaign, killing hordes of empire soldiers with giant-rock-lobbing-cyclopes-cowmonsters, but i also find their early game very lacking, you have Bretonnia level of shit tier units and you have to plan out how the retarded AI will march so you can avoid them, or you wait 200 turns for your horde to grown and then you overrun every state one at a time. (which is ok in mini campaigns because the turn times are very short, but in the grand campaign it can be a bore)

But they link together when installed with one another. CA have already changed the campaign names and listings in database and the actual game. Warhammer campaign is now Old World campaign.

They say FotS is standalone for Shogun 2 yet its listed as DLC for the base game. I think they've changed their plans as they confirmed last November due to the massive success of Warhammer and its DLC's which was unexpected they are expanding their plans. The first expansion will have 4 base races instead of 3 and the map will be the same size as the base game instead of half.

All info from the original datamine is now outdated or out of order.

how do i git gud?

ive played every total war game, but ever since shogun 2, i just can't play on Hard or anything above

i consolidate my empire, get a handful of provinces, have enough money to field one stack, but my enemy, no matter who they are or where, has a stack and a garrison. I'm always outnumbered. I know hammer and anvil, I know flanking. My past few battles I've always been out numbered 3 to 2, i do my best to flank and end up surrounding my opponent, but they always seem to win despite this.

how do i kill enemy lords when they can just smash my shit about? I've got a unit of reiksguard and they're good and all, but they get tired so fast, I can only get so many charges in before they're useless

i just dont know what im doing wrong, my units all have a few chevrons, i know i'm not retarded but it's starting to frustrate me.

I flank, I encircle, it doesn't matter. AI units seem to last forever while tearing through my men. Reiksguard are exhausted by the third charge. One of my last battles, Franz died within the first 25 seconds of contact between armies, still have no idea how he died so fast.

Fairly good, but it's not compatibility friendly. However it includes already most popular mods, so that's not too big an issue.

Unit mods are generally ok, as long as they're not too extensive. MixXu's mods for example are completely incompatible, and note that Steel Faith makes changes for combat and almost no unit mod is made with SF in mind, so a perfectly balanced mod unit in vanilla might end up broken OP or useless.

SF isn't my cup of tea and I don't use it, but it's certainly well done.

The walls have been cleared, and I'm pouring troops through the gates. Shitty thing is, the vamps are reinforcing with monstrous units and I'm forced to fight in the streets without the opportunity to cycle-charge them. This is one part of the lore that makes no sense to me. Forget surviving the rape or somehow surviving the birth, how the hell does she survive long enough to give birth before she becomes a hot meal? Is it ever explained? What I've read of the lore suggests beastmen are too retarded (save for a handful of exceptions) to think long enough ahead to let most victims live past a day before they eat them or use them to decorate themselves.

Another option is cutting the Ungor Raiders for Razorgor Herds. They do absurd leadership damage when rear charging.

Just have a strong anvil of shields and minotaurs and flank. I use Shielded Ungors instead of Gor Herds because they stalk.

Chaos Poison Warhounds are good for chasing and break any cavalry charge followed up with Centigors. You'll win every cav fight then can chase everything down once routed. I kill so many running units with centigors, warhounds, and razorgors.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the lore, but beastmen seem too shortsighted for even that. Describing these guys as animals is inaccurate though they look part animal. These guys will do anything to spite "good," no matter how much it hurts themselves. I can't see a beastman willfully not eating or skinning a woman alive for the better part of a year. It may not be Canon anymore, but Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay had a supplement called Tome of Corruption, which is my go-to source for all things Chaotic. It's astoundingly easy for a villager to turn into a Beastman and there's no set "You get horns and hoofed feet, done". Those things are easier to model for minatures or on a computer and they're iconic, but Beastmen cover all sorts of mutations of a beastial inclination. There are also straight up female Beastmen, and I don't think it'd be out of sight to say Beastmen rutt like Animals.

Lore of Beasts too. Pann's Impenetrable Pelt, Wyssan's Wildform, and Flock of Doom are all you need from it.

Lore of Fire does surprisingly well against regenerating creatures and Wood Elf tree spirits when you cast Flaming Sword of Rhuin on ranged units. Crossbowmen, Handgunners, and Great Cannons all do incredible amounts of damage with imbued fire.

You answered your own questions. Dwarfs are unreasonably stubborn by default. It comes from being very long lived and their past (when their architecture wasn't as developed as it is now, a "bad experiment" inside the mountains they live could cause a collapse that could wipe out an entire district, for example). For an invention to truly be approved and mass produced it has to stay centuries in the backburner waiting for approval (Meaning that the geezer Longbeards who're grumbling about it the loudest to die out). It happened with the Gyrocopter, the Flame Cannon, the Organ Gun and every single "hi-tech" Dwarf invention you see in-game.

Hell, Thorgrim was considered a radical by shortening the approval time for decades (and he wanted even more, but there's a limit to how much a society can bend before it breaks). It's the only reason Gyrobombers exist.

There are probably shittons of Dwarf inventions sealed somewhere in the Engineer's Guild that could revolutionize a war that aren't considered "safe". Hell, that dude who made all the autistic piece of shit Armoured Slayer and Bomb-throwing Slayer mods actually got it right with Rune Golems. There's an old 6th edition story of a mad Dwarfen scientist at the level of the Empire's Leonardo that managed to make living stone. The Rune Golems were what would happen if Thorgrim somehow saw that and decided they'd be a good way to win their conflicts.

Well, I'm afraid you're wrong. Rape babies (and spontaneous mutation of children conceived by normal humans) are the primary method of procreation/creation for Beastmen.

Female Beastmen are exceedingly rare, and the few that survive beastmen society do so because they're protected by an Elite Gor who uses them exclusively. They're otherwise quite gentle and fey creatures.

This is all actually reflected nicely in TWWH with the razing option giving the Horde growth for a few turns, this is because there are a whole lot of female captives along to spawn new Beastmen until they're used up. (They rarely survive the process, and if they do, not for long)

With no other French threats in the vicinity, and the only castles in northern France in my hands, I'd say its high time for the Black Prince to get a move on toward Paris. There's only one unit garrisoning it, and BP can be there in two turns and hog all the mercs in the area. In dwarf campaign, what are some common army formations to be running at each stage of the game? I have heard that I should be using grudge throwers over cannons because cannons are shh it except against large. Currently in my best lord army, I am running something like 3 cannons, 2 or 3 quarrelers and 2 or 3 thunderers, then I either fill the rest with long beards and warriors, or currently I have two gyro bombers and 2 iron drakes then the rest being long beards. I feel like Im really struggling in the axe of grimnir quest though, as well as against any large army. I kinda suck at micro managing though.

Even with that victory it may be a loss, as I'm not sure I can calm the citizens down in time before a revolt forces me out. That's even with the few inf units I pulled from Amiens to reinforce them.

Decide on a couple fronts that you can stabilize early on and get rid of all the angry fuckers that could stop you. So you can take out the Quardians turn 1 with mercenaries, then rotate that army into Germany to fight back the hordes while you take out the Suebi and move on to cleanse North Africa of angry tribals and stabilize the public order in spain.

It's as easy as this

Paganism allows you to get +2 Sanitation for every province, plus an edit which gives an extra +2.

This means some provinces can be kept healthy with just a single town sanitation building per province.

LC allows religious osmosis to nearby provinces. Unless you plan to conquer your neighbors (which as WRE is suicide in the first 100 turns or so) it's nearly useless. Even then the religious differences public order penalties are nothing to be worried about.


Then it comes down to their churches.

Do you prefer to give money or food to feed the religious machine? Food is a better investment early game, money late game.

HOWEVER, Pagan temples give huge bonuses, bigger than Christian Churches, and you don't even need churches as Pagan. The Theatres and Circuses give a good bonus by themselves, meaning you don't even have to invest too much.

Finally, even with the climate shift event which hits at the mid game, Cattle Pens are ridiculously efficient at giving food, and Africa is so ridiculously rich in everything that if you manage to hold it (which should be top priority as WRE no matter what religion you choose) you'll never have food-related issues on an Imperium Scale.


Plus when you change to Roman Paganism your soldiers' voices change too, and they stop praising God and start reciting the Old Gods, even generals in their speeches start to use "Gods" plural, and I'm pretty sure one of him told the troops to "Make Jupiter Proud".

I think this only happens as either the Roman Empires (pretty sure CA just recycled Rome 2's voicelines but it feels so fucking cool regardless)

So now that we've achieved what we set out to do, its time for a state of the world!

We currently own 42 provinces out of the required 70, with one of those being the victory condition of Paris.

Every faction is still alive, barring the Scots who I have destroyed 3 times and I'm pretty sure we will be seeing again.

I am clearly the most expansionist power, as it looks as if all the other factions have at most taken 2 or 3 settlements, if any.

I'm makin about 18k per turn, and 90% of that is sunk back into cities so they are happy and profitable.

My one concern is that I do have a dearth of governors and family members, so my sons better get married and better start pumping them out, and even then I might have to be careful for a few turns.

Just watch out for magic, and heroes with magic weapons, and any units with magic attacks (mostly wood elf and elite bret units) other than that against most enemies they'll tank really well while you fire in with ranged weapons.

Shogun 2 for simplicity, Warhmmer is a good start for simplicity as well but it has the best battles and you might appreciate that more if you play a historical title first.

Attila is a great whole experience with the toughest campaign.

People told me not to go and fight the norse tribes. but in my VH chaos run my tightest hardest battles were at the beginning against the dwarfs but I was able to eventually beat them and raze their holds. And then I spent the next 70 or so turns touring around norsca eliminating all the tribes but one, while completing archaons quest chains and leveling him and his horde up and only after that did i push onto the rest of the world eventually eliminating all other races and settlements.

felt kinda good that way since it really felt like I united the tribes under one banner.

Its literally a desert after first climate change. No, Cattle pens will not solve all your food needs if you actually want to upgrade a province all the way. Pagan churches are also shit for this reason, because they cost food. As do circus etc.

The Circus buildings are great for the early game, but are impossible to have after 50 turns or so due to climate change. The small building that costs 30 food and gives +7 public order will hold you off while you get christ and shit.

Cheap anvils. Pistolers are great for it as well. But they are shit since you need a fucking gunsmith making liverys garbage for early game units

Can never discount horse archers though. Great for manuevering and hitting weak foes in the back to break them with their pistol shots, but cant trade with enemy arachers meaning you need a reiksguard or something else to engage the enemy archers.

I've been sending all my Pistoliers with a unit of Reiksguard and it always works solidly. The Reiksguard smash through their archers and the Pistoliers all fire off salvos into them as they go past into the melee's backside.

When you confed, your relations drop by almost 40 which means yes they can get rowdy with you. Which is why you're spending your time fighting off hordes and cleaning them mountains out, replacing them with dwarves. Broken moon will be a pain in your ass for 50+ turns. But yes, the Skullsmasherz army in their hold tends to cuck you at Marienburg. You can't ambush near Marienburg, your ambush has to be in your own land so that you completely destroy one of Marienburg stacks. Then you can take Marienburg, or head for Gorssel. Usually if you leave Marienburg, the Bretonnians might try and take it. But they tend to still be too weak too, so unless you sack it they will avoid it.

they're basically what you would actually expect from 24 hand held flame cannons, utterly devastating against infantry unlike vanilla's. In my grom campaign I use them as the hammer to the anvil, a combat lasts about as long as it takes for the drakes to waddle around the side and open fire, they kill half a unit in a volley and break the rest, then you're waddling off to the next melee to do the same. obviously better the more units the enemy dogpiles into your dwarf squares, which are basically made to get dogpiled on.

Buy all the things you can get on turn 1, siege the quardian town and assault it. Use the onagers to take out the tower. Then move your units up that are armoured and shielded. Start trading ranged blows with the enemy. Your skirmishers can get a shit ton of kills as the enemy shuffles around if you can hit them in the back. Micro the artillery to btfo german scum. Once you exhaust all your ranged options you engage with your anvil, then hammer them. You should easily win the fight, even on very hard if you managed to tank the enemy ranged with your Testudos (move those up before your squishier ranged units so the enemy focus them with their ranged attacks. Usually the quardians dont sally out from inside their town.

Pistolkorps just seems to be leaps and bounds better for a highly upgraded stack. Honest steel is great for a budget stack, since spearmen/swordsmen etc will make up the majority of a peacekeeping/light defence army. I was just thinking of maybe experimenting with the outrider and pistolers. Think I am going to go with the Pistolkorps, at least for Franz. Boost them FCM and then later get 5-6 handgunners and destroy enemy charges with them.

Getting that bottom tree for a LL is pretty important. at least the -10% attrition line and Lightning Strike. Made all the difference when I was going through mountain passes or fangbanging territory.

You can sack it, check their faction leader after and see if its someone very favorable to subjugate I believe. If they are shit, you raze it. Pannonia makes a decent fortress against hun fuckers. but you also need to fortify the province next to it above Venetia.

Towers have a little too much range. Their global map presence means you have to rush, making artillery less useful since you can lose 300-400 troops before one big cannon takes down a tower I feel like.

just build siege towers, they soak fire for ages and make it to the walls pretty easily on anything without tier 3 towers. the thing that makes them shit in the chaos campaign is that you don't have time to sit still when everyone is out to get you and you need to be constantly sacking to keep your hordes paid for

Oh. I may have just been fighting against those type of towers was the problem on my VH campaign constantly. If I didn't set all my siege towers together on the same section the enemy towers would just burn them down easily.

for a four day siege, giving me two rams and 4x towers. It sucks that you can't use agents on a sieged province to start hurting some of the buildings.

Yeah but their range is pretty pathetic.

Mounted yeomen are better as light cav since their bows have great range and they can fire 360. Against most other races light cavalry they can either dance out of range and out trade while at range, or flee if they try to charge and shoot them up.

The only race that has better ranged light cav would be wood elves but mounted yeomen are cheaper.

I have went against 5+ stacks of huns with only horsemen. It very easily happens if their hordes aren't destroyed after they get upgraded enough.

light cavalry are utility, you can shoot into combat and once you're out of ammo you can then cycle charge. or sometimes a timely charge can make the difference. for example charging to get a gun crew off of their guns or to sandwhich a ranged unit.

you're basically making a utility unit more dangerous all round.

Again i love mounted yeomen archers. but here's a webm that shows me killing a bunch of slayers and cannon crew at ranged, and then using melee to fuck up another cannon that was left undefended (this is multiplayer however) since a charge will always kill more quickly than ranged.

Both Blacks - Reinaud and the Prince - besiege Paris. I accidentally built ballista towers, thinking I would hold onto it, so ha ha I get to take a massive city with a massive garrison. Fun!

In the south here, I'm moving in on this fortress. Intimidating as it is, if I can take it in the next few turns, I am basically free to continue sweeping east towards Savoie.

Groningen has been a free city all game, and I do not think the HRE is gonna be moving towards it any time soon. To be completely honest, I am not sure what the fuck the HRE has been doing this entire time. As a matter of fact, none of the minor players have done much of note - We're almost halfway through the campaign and they haven't even been able to expand into all of the rebel territory.

In any case I'm done here for tonight and as we wrap up the campaign I'm gonna be taking suggestions for my next faction to play as.

Your public order should be solved by 400. You should focus spending on getting provinces one by one in recovery public order, hopefully in areas to reduce insurrections. Italy first, then your islands, followed by Africa (if you deleted all the tribal shits) and Hispana, south gaul, Dalmatia Pannonia etc.

Yes, trying to get every province public order'd up at once is a terrible idea. You should be identifying provinces with public order issues that are safe from attacks raiding that you can increase the public order of.

Your govenor provinces like Magna Graecia carthage won't have any issues with public order. But then you will want to focus your effort getting Tripoli, morroco(cant remember the province name off hand), and the sahara generating positive public order. Even if you have to demolish the provinces money makers, solving public order crisis is the most important at first. Having rebel factions raising armies is a disaster, as is rebel whack a mole across empire.

etc that should be your plan of action solving public order crisis. You should also be garrisoning legions in those areas both for killing rebels and for boosting public order to get them to 100.
