I'm conflicted about this chapter.

On the one hand, you have nice details like "Cursed Arm" accepting a drink, which I thought was Sakurai fucking up until I realized it was a clever tell.

Nothing specific so far. Until something contradicts this, he just seems to be another stray Moriarty recruited. Apparently he killed Shinjuku's Lancer and Saber soon after appearing, which surprised Moriarty.

No, there's no mention of who those were, and he clearly does not mean Artoria Alter. Bob actually says he's a particularly bad match against "that woman" and flees just before Artoria reaches him trying to run him over, so he doesn't seem confident on fighting her.

Fun fact, Artoria names her bike "Curiasser Alter" for whatever reason.

FES is a straight upgrade. It adds more Personas, more Social Links, the ability to turn Personas into weapons, more outfits/armors, and Social Links are reworked a little to be more manageable. It also adds some more quests and a playable epilogue chapter. Several of these things also aren't present in the PSP version.

Anyway, one character I think would fit well with this franchise is Starkad. Not a major character in the sagas, but he pops up in a few different stories and gets a bit of spotlight in some of them.

Starkad is a giant with eight arms and fought with four swords. He had been alternately blessed and cursed, but that part's a little sketchy and depends on the story. If I were to tell you about it, I'd say that Starkad had received blessings from Odin and curses from Thor.

Among other things Odin made it so Starkad would live three lifetimes, have good fortune in battle, have it easy to gather wealth, and be favored by the rich and powerful. But since Thor hated giants he cursed Starkad to be greedy, to never own land, to always receive grievous wounds in battle, and to be hated by the common folk.

Then he has a bunch of adventures. Most of them involve joining a band of warriors or entering the service of some noble person and then getting pointed in the direction of somebody they wanted dead. This involved killing a Slavic warrior who could blunt swords just by looking at them, killing nine brothers who were trying to woo the same girl, getting into fights with Thor and Sigurd, castrating a blacksmith whom a noblewoman fancied, etc. Kind of a mercenary asshole. A thing to note about that: Odin blessed him to have a talent for poetry and Thor cursed him to never remember his poetry, so whenever Starkad composed a song about his victories the tune would quickly fall out of memory.

And of course, he got brutalized a lot because of his curse. Off the top of my head I can recall that he lost some finger, arms, teeth, his guts were spilling out at one point, his head was cracked open on at least one occasion, and so on.

I'm mixing details from a bunch of different sources right now, but you get the idea. There exists material to work with.

Oh, another funny detail: after you recruit Jeanne (itself a kinda funny scene) she asks Artoria what the hell is up with her outfit, and Artoria replies that one should wear a fitting attire for the place you're in. She mentions "a spearman she knew" and his firvolous hawaian shirt, except that him being a frivolous guy himself "it fit him frivolously well."

Jeanne then pauses and thinks for a moment, and then points to the ruins of a boutique. No one feels anything there, but she insists her instinct tells her to check it out, so you wait for her outside. This results in you getting ambushed by thugs, then Lobo, yada yada, you wound it and it flees, Artoria and Jeanne nearly go at each others' throats with a stupid petty argument again which Moriarty barely manages to defuse and you get back to the base again. This all has the side effect of wounding Lobo badly enough that it allows you to wander certain areas while he recovers, which is what leads to planning the assault on Phantom.

Anyway, the point is Cu is to thank for flashy outfit Jeanne and Saber.

I just got the impression that phantoms were spirits that were too weak to be heroic spirits or wraiths, due to lacking notoriety or something. I mean, if Lobo and Sleepy Hollow's Hessian are fictional, then they would be fairly modern and not very widely known. Not that imagery of monster wolves or headless horsemen is anything recent, but the specific stories of Lobo and Sleepy Hollow aren't that old. And they're not like Kojiro or the Hassans who were actual people with actual souls, Lobo and the Hessian had to be actualized purely from collective human thought.

I suppose I might be completely off with this speculation, though. There's probably some line of text or some character to invalidate it all.

Sakurai is actually good when she cares about it. She wasn't fond of writing Septem and confirmed it many times even before the chapter was out. She likes writing guys over women, at least on spotlight. This chapter is the one she had freedom to do as she pleases and it shows because is a reminder of her non Fate writing. Everybody seems to enjoy Extella sidestories more than the main story and it was Sakurai, not Nasu, who wrote them. Nasu wrote the main story.

I'll say this: I find it very unlikely that the untying was instantaneous, I quoted that line precisely because you were arguing that this was all psychological thrashing and that he had already been completely undone beforehand, which I didn't agree with. The ensuing scene seems obviously to be the ongoing untying of the links, and given the timing of the scene I would sincerely have serious trouble thinking that losing Flauros was not the last straw. I mean, the line says that he can still go until there's one left, and he vanishes just as he loses the last one.

If you think the link was already completely undone before the scene began, I'm not going to argue that position because I think the position is completely incoherent. That also leaves the question of what exactly killed him, which, like I said, I doubt was that fist, since the timing with the announcement of Flauros' undoing seems far too deliberate and obvious.

I do definitely believe he was sustained by the pillars and eventually dies as he loses the last of them. If you're fixating on a "it wasn't Flauros DYING that killed him, it was LOSING CONNECTION with Flauros," that just seems like a really petty detail over which to revive an argument several times.

From what I got from the argument, that started when the other guy said that Ars Nova didn't instantly kill him, but rather he died just as the pillars were wiped off. Again, it'd be more correct say it was "he died just as he lost connection with the pillars throughout the scene as they suicided, were killed, etc", but the general idea seems correct. I don't know if a single remaining pillar could have sustained him (Goetia seems to think so) but making so big a fuss over this like you're doing, over multiple threads, seems to me like obsessing over a completely asinine technicality.

Speeding up the process is a technicality which ensures: the demons did not escape to the past (to survive) and avoid collateral damage when they could still do it. All Goetia had left -after- he lost this was Solomon's body which was, you know, a corpse. I wonder why isn't this clearer to you, that's why Roman asks you to beat that up.

Ars nova does not change the past (despite what the dumb redditor wanted to push and got bitched by that friendly nip), it only works for the moment it's used and onwards (the incineration ritual, as you know, began on 2016-2017). That's why Flauros' sabotage on 2015 still took place, because it wasn't part of that ritual. And why we don't have a time paradox. That's because they didn't. This seems to be the crux of it. nobody said this would be instantaneous. Neither Solomon nor Goetia. Goetia said they would unravel, not that it would happen instantaneously. On the contrary, Goetia says "I still have time while it happens."

I'm trying to understand where you'¡re coming from here, because I honestly have no clue. The process clearly STARTED there, but if there is a single line that suggests this is absolutely instantaneous, then post it already because I've seen nothing at all to suggest that.

I have no idea what this means or how it supports your previous argument. Trying to relink is something Goetia does in the middle of the scene, after he's already counted off several of them dying or disconnecting. The scene does not start with him trying to disconnect, it starts with the narration counting down as the various pillars cease to function, die, get cut off, suicide, etc for various reasons.

If Bobmiya gacha is any indication the gacha after each EoR chapter is gonna be for story locked of that chapter and one other character that also story locked. By process of elimination it's gonna be EoR3 story locked and Nero, because she's also story locked and Musashi has a line mentioning her, so she most likely will be in EoR3.

As for before for hype, it's doubtful it's gonna be Musashi, probably for another limited that will get another limited screentime in the chapter and haven't been in a rate up for a quite long time, like Dantes, so it'll be Okita not Musashi.

I never argued otherwise, nor seen anyone argue otherwise. That's the super saiyan dreg left after Goetia collapses. The question was what made the Flaming Faggot Tree Goetia collapse, which seemed very likely to me to be the loss of the supporting pillars.

It seems perfectly logical here: Goetia is a combination of all the pillars. The pillars get cut off and he fades as he loses the connection with the last one (CURRENTLY CONNECTED TO HIM, you psycho autist, I'm not implying he's the last one in existence), leaving only whatever was left inside Solomon's corpse which you then punch to death.

I'm not even sure what your point IS anymore. The things you claim are symbolic sure as hell don't look at all symbolic nor are contradicted by anything in the profile.
