How does one get into twinking? Do you need a guild or something? Are you even able to queue for normal BGs with a xp locked character? If not then what's the point in twinking at all, you're just running into the same people over and over again and getting no better from it

ACKSHUALLY pre-Legion twinking was extremely competitive in the active brackets from WotLK onwards. Grouping all the dedicated twinks into their own queues was really fucking good from a competitive standpoint because you're always in it with the best of the best, but this also led to cliques, intense bracket drama and the death of several brackets. my favorite, 39s, was really fucking good in bc, wotlk and cataclysm. mop and onwards it began to die due to middling balance and lack of interest.
Right now twinking is AIDS because all the things that made it special are gone. no competitive community, no highly specialized itemization or skill builds, no enchants/engineering goodies/etc, nothing that sets it apart from max level at all.

here's a partial list of all my twinks. not listed are a 49, a 60, a 70, some 99s a 100 lock i dont plan on using and my 110 rogue.
