Has anyone had any issues with using a SATA to USB 3.0 adapter on their Wii U for extra storage? I'm trying to connect a 2.5" HDD I had lying around (confirmed working with my Anker adapter on my computer) for storing all my Wii U games, but it doesn't seem to wanna connect/format. All I hear is the drive slowly clicking. I connected it to external power as well and it makes no difference.

You need a SD card to be able to download a game on your computer, put it on the card and then install it on the medium of your choice through the Wii U. A 16GB card at least, I don't think there's any Wii U games that won't fit on a 16GB one. I KNOW you can install onto a USB flash drive, might want to get a large one of those to install your games on though the price difference between a 64GB USB stick and a USB hard drive might be kinda close. Note that if you go the USB hard drive option, you'll need a Y-cable because one USB port isnt enough to power said USB hard drive.

Working on installing arm9loaderhax right now following 3ds.guide, and it says to copy the arm9loaderhax.bin from the Luma3DS 7z to the root and overwrite the one placed there from the SafeA9LHInstaller 7z, but neither the linked Luma3DS release nor the Luma Updater have a copy of said bin.

You can pirate amiibos pretty easily. Buy some nfctags and get nfctools on your phone. Make sure your phone has nfc. Download the amiibos from the amiibos site. There's a database. Use the write tool on nfctools and write to the sticker. Stick it on something and then bam. It's an amiibo.

Otherwise go out and buy the damn amiibo or get the amiibo emulator whatever it's called now. It's expensive but it has slots for a fuck ton of amiibo and can read and write and it's pretty easy to use.

What I did is I grabbed a 16gb SD card from my phone, did all the hacking process, installed BotW and the update to my HDD using it then I deleted the game's files from the SD and transferred them to a smaller 2gb SD card and it worked.

Might be able to do this with your 3ds card, back it up, format it, install the game and then use the smaller one.
