Depends on how you want to go about it. For combat, an NMZ autoclicker is fairly safe, especially so if you only automate flicking rapid heal and drink abs by yourself.

I got 99 melees and range with my own fully automated AHK NMZ script and didn't get trouble from it, but of course there's always a chance (even if small) to get banned for scripting so if you truly care about your account just go the safe route and skill it yourself. I also don't recommend doing it on new accounts, play the game for a while first and get your stats up to a decent level.

How do ranged levels work? Like what's the difference between 80 ranged and 85 ranged besides the obvious 5 levels.

The biggest problem is the polling system. If a comp cape is added then people who already have it or are going for it will be encouraged to vote no to new high level content. I think that was the original reasoning used for why it's not in the game. Of course more polls in osrs isn't necessarily a bad thing but it still fucks with the game.

I think it's kind of the opposite, once people have completed everything else in the game there's nothing to do except PvM/PvP or go for 200m skills

I do see people wanting polls to fail that make certain skills easier (mainly for skills that are already pretty easy, nobody is gonna get pissed at adding ZMI to make runecrafting a little faster)

Abso-fucking-lutely, they take up two spaces that I can't get rid of I thought I was being smart because I thought I'd grind out 85 crafting immediately, but I realize now the fury is a minuscule upgrade over glory and I won't be getting zenyte for a very long time. So it sits in my looting bag mocking me, I have literally considered dropping them to my alt, but I know it'll cost me a shitload of gp/chaos runes to get back, so they're a testament to going for stuff to early

Yup, I stacked up 50k Chaos runes from very early slayer, picking up every drop I could, and doing like 150 barrows chest before I went to complete barrows much later, Wyverns too, and I actually spent 1.2m to buy more chaos runes to get a second one, it wasn't too taxing on my resources to buy them but to keep them, is more taxing than buying them

I never bothered learning vet'ion and I really don't want to, I don't like any wildy bosses because of getting PKed, and I just cannon kalphite tasks, I don't mind KQ but getting like 2 kills a trip for a boss with sub par loot isn't really fun imo, even with the elite diary the shortcuts still make it annoying
