Personally I always found cartoon characters more appealing than humans. They're more exaggerated and flawless.Having attractions to cartoon characters sounds weirdly more common than I initially thought (at least on the internet).

The answer is simple. It's also never going to happen in today's market.

Put genuine, honest, REAL effort into making a Sonic game a GOOD game. Not just a game that will sell because it's carrying the brand.

Put money into it. Hire people that are passionate about the project. Write a story that's simple and charming without being childish. Don't dumb it down, don't try to shoehorn in awkward life lessons. And absolutely don't record your dialogue once and say "good enough". Make the actors practice. Repeat the lines until they sound natural and not stilted. Innovate, but don't lose sight of where you came from or who your fans are.

Basically, care about the game beyond making a quick buck.

However there's a difference between a character, and a character doing something. So Chris and Dave art doesn't really snowball because it's very niche. Katella is fairly open in appeal, sexy woman for one thing, and a Eggman/Robotnik ship.

I don't think anyone knows what the fate of the comic is yet, not even Archie or maybe even Sega.

Someone on SSMB is apparently reading the court documents on Pacer, and claims that Fulop's current case is against the merchandising agreement between Archie and Sega of America, NOT anything to do with SoJ or any licensing issues. They also said that Fulop's case is still a mess and hasn't even specified what it's trying to accomplish out of all this nonsense.

Don't quote me, but I think Archie and SoA have had a fairly good relationship over the years, so this whole thing might just blow over if the courts get sick of Fulop dragging his heels and being unable to make a proper claim. Right now, we can only hope.
