in my experience, orisa isn't that effective against pharah
in fact, I think it's the other way around, orisa is such a big and slow target that she dominates orisa, and being able to push orisa out of her shield is excellent.

There are a LOT of heroes that have abilities designed to slow or immobilize enemies.
Actually, she's probably immune to Ana sleep darts too.
So she shuts down a LOT of abilities with just one of hers.
She also shuts down an Ulting Reinhardt (once his hammer fails to knock her down, she gravitons him to keep him away from her team), shuts down ulting Genji, could potentially delay an ulting S.76, drag an ulting Zenyatta away from his team, a whole bunch of other ults could be seriously negated or dampened by her right click. I think you guys are SERIOUSLY underestimating Orisa's toolset.

I tried playing Orisa on some bot matches, and to simulate my real game experience I made all the enemy bots hard while making the bots on my team medium.

We couldn't even cap the first point. Apparently Orisa is destroyed pretty easily when she's focused down by 2 DPS heroes at once. She reminds me of launch D.va but with less health in exchange for a bit more utility. She does fuck Mei pretty hard though.

They should not be catered to.

When they start the game they will see 24(!) heroes, even if they figure out after the first death "oh, roadhog has a hook" they won't know how long the cooldown is which is a BIGLY important thing to know.

They won't know what projectiles can pass through barriers. Or how hacking or being hacked works ect.

They need to either play the character or read about the character. If they are not that invested to just check it out they they should play a less diverse FPS.

I have no problem with solo hog on defense.

I do have a problem if we have to attack and we don't have a shield tank because it's hell to push through those choke points but hook kills/M2 spam can keep people at bay pretty well the other way around.

Then again Reinhardt is supposedly a required pick in all matches yet I only get them on my team 1 in 100 times so I've learned to do without.

You know DVA is a mobility tank, a harasser that is designed to use her abilities to quickly rush to the aid of teammates and to quickly exploit enemies.

Orissa has no mobility, the way she has to escape or reposition involves being immune to CC and using her alt fire to slow pursuers and chase down enemies. Even then her gun isn't hitscan and it makes her slow down.
