Yes, Dino decks are pretty strong, but to gather all three dragons from trader would take a lot of time and they're fine without it. Water decks are easier to complete (Age of Discovery booster) and they're pretty strong especially once you unlock Mako. You should open packs from Age of Discovery and Ultimate Rising because they have good beginner cards and more importantly will be removed at the end of this month. Something to keep note of, if you opened a pack and got a UR early it's worth it to reset the box just to have a chance to get another copy of it. I don't use reddit so I don't know how it compares but in my opinion gameA is the best info resource for this game

I haven't played YGH in 13 years. Came back, tried to make a fire deck and it goes really good against any NPC, Legendary duelist or not, and loaner deck games are a cakewalk.

Get absolutely destroyed in PvP though, it's like every card they initially draw is 4-stars with 1800 attack or some crazy trap cards.

What boosters are good to put my gems into? Fire is kind of sucking ass right now as I have to rely on equip cards and shit. I'm using Joey by the way (Stage 13, Level 19) as I've only got him, Kaiba and Téa. All of my trap cards are fucking garbage by the way. Send help, I need a shitter friendly beginner deck.

20 cards deck are recommended because it means you're more likely to draw into your best cards and have your combo pieces together - obviously you're just starting out and won't have the cards to compete with people who have being playing longer but you can still try and optimise your deck

Depends how you build it.

You can go for either the heavy hitters and/or counters to play it safe, but you risk bricking yourself

Or you can go a simpler route with the basics + staples with less bricking, but you run the risk of being overrun if your opponent gets lucky

This fucking sucks. This is my 2nd restart and I just want shit to work out this time. Good thing after 30 packs I at least got mirror wall, though I was trying to get some fairies for the deck. I also have Téa to level 23, so I'm almost there, but I still need a Parshath or two, and maybe an Angel 07 and Dunames Dark Witch, if I can get them and if I need too. But really? Why can't anything I do work or be good? This is so frustrating because I don't want a bug deck or dino deck or water deck. I do want gravekeeper's, but I can't beat lvl 40 Ishizu (yet, but who knows when I will). So wtf do I do? Idk, but this fairy deck was made out to seem ok and I guess I fell for it? I just wanted something good enough, yet fun, and different for PvP, and especially I wanted to participate in this Kaiba Cup thing; didn't wanna miss out.

Tea's 0 life skill is quite funny.
I thought you were only able to active this monster ability once, but you can do as long as you can keep paying life points.

But I doubt I can make a deck around this playstyle.

I was lucky enough to get MW within 30 packs this time, and that axe within the next 20 (after resetting the box). I have restarted a couple times though because I regretted which packs I bought from and decided I wanted to do something else, but yet again I'm feeling regretful because I'm trying to make a fairy deck since it seemed fun and good enough, but then another anon complained that it's bad apparently. But whatever, I guess I'll have to go with it since I don't want to use the other decks (fish, bugs, dino) cause they seem boring (except for gravekeeper's) and I don't want to restart again.

But yeah, look things up, form some sort of plan for what kinda deck you wanna go for, and check the boxes, as well for what things may need or want, and hope you get it. Even if not exactly, you could probably still make something work.

With 22 cards you have a 1/22 chance of drawing Banner of Courage when you need it. With 20 cards, it's 1/20.
ALWAYS use the minimum number of cards unless it's a meme deck like Skull Servants which uses more than the minimum.

Ditch Doriado, her play isn't worth taking up 5 cards in your deck. If you have another Paladin, stick that and another copy or two of Ritual Foregone and a second BEWD. Try to get 1 or 2 Blue Dragon Summoner from the Card Trader as well.

Element Dragon is good because you can attack a second time if you defeat a monster with it while you have a Wind monster. Gray Wing is a good card for this since it's Wind and you can discard a card from your hand to attack twice with it (so you can get 4 attacks with 2 cards in 1 turn), but remember that your Field Spell gives attack to Winged Beasts and Thunder Monsters as well as Dragons, so look at what you have for those monster types as well.

Mirror Wall halves the ATK of an attacking monster.

So, for example, if an opponent's attacking monster has 1500 ATK, but one of my monsters has 1400 ATK, I can activate Mirror Wall during this battle/damage phase and the opponent's monster now has 750 ATK, so they now take damage as a result and my monster stays alive. If you wanna keep Mirror Wall on the field you need to pay 2000 LP though, so you gotta be careful.

Equip Spells like Wonder Wand/Sword of the Deep Seated are essential. You equip those just before you attack for game so they don't eat up zones.

Riryouku is a huge help if you get a second Cerberus. It's a costly investment, but you'll be doing 10000+ attacks easily with it.

Stop Defense is essential so you can actually do battle damage to the opponent. Keep in mind what monster you're using it on; you don't want to use in on a Skelengel when Tea has no cards in her deck. If you don't have Stop Defense then Shooting Star Bow is equally as good, so long as you're still above 9999 atk after the 500 loss.

Drawing cards like Shard of Greed are useful when going against Tea so you can keep up with her constant drawing cards. Trap removal is also useful for Tea so she doesn't get ridiculous amounts of LP from her trap card.

Other than that, just splash a whole bunch of useless one-time use cards that either don't affect the game at all or give very basic help like increasing/decreasing LP. Also throw in a Yami for an extra 700 atk.

Also keep in mind that some duelists are hard/impossible to use Cerberus on because they have the means to destroy it.

Mirror Wall is in the Neo-Impact box. Not being mean, but good luck trying to get it. On another account I bought over half the box and didn't get it, this time I bought only 30 and got it. Others have had better or worse luck as well.

Even if you don't get it, the are still some good cards if you can get them. I don't know how good for PvP it would be though, but I know after buying all those packs it made a decent Auto-Duel deck at like Stage 30 or lower, at least.

I'd say get an idea of what deck you wanna make, check the cards in the boxes, google things, etc. before buying randomly.

My wifi is on point, I'm right next to the router. and it didn't even blink off.

I keep losing with my (incomplete) fairy deck to 30 card decks somehow, bad hands, and yugifags.

I'm almost certain there's no way I'll be able to get another Parshath, an Agido, Vylon Ohm, Black Pendant, Twister, Trap Jammer, Dunames Dark Witch, Angel 07, or Metalmorph (from lvling Keith; only lvl 13 w/ him atm) before this event is over. I just don't have the gems / luck to do so.

Sure, this deck is fun in PvE. It's fun when it (rarely) works in PvP. I had a bit of hope, but I guess afterall it was just a shitty meme and I fell for it. And yet again after my 2nd restart I fucked up still. There's no way I'll make it past 1* and I'll definitely not even be in the top 10000.

Honestly the Fairy deck is very overhyped on these threads by that one guy that keeps shilling them. They basically need 3 cards to really get going, and you can only have a max of 2 for 2 of those cards (Freya and Court). It's strong when you get a great opening hand, but until that happens you're basically struggling to stay alive until you get those cards together, by which point it'll probably be too late. It's way to bricky to be of any use in the higher tiers until it Fairies get better support.

Well both those decks are kinda memey and bad but they're just common cards and easy to build. Think what you want. Do you want to make a parasite burn deck? Then you need two copies of mask. Do you want to make a dinosaur deck? Then you need Order to Charge. Do you want to make a water deck? Then you need pretty much everything in those water packs. A lot of the popular decks right now have cards earned from duelest like Gravekeepers and Harpies.

However it's always nice to try to get Mirror Wall and Kuriboh which really boosts your deck.

Well, really, I'd like to improve my fairy deck if I can because I find it fun and I think it has potential, and I've gotten this far into putting it together. I'm stuck on what exactly I should do though, to improve it, since I only have ~3k gems.

OK, Just bought 10 packs of AoD and luckily got what I wanted/needed. I swapped for 2 Whirlwind Prodigies, 1 Kazejin, and a Tribute Doll.
