No they all do. Anders calls you attractive (pretty/handsome) in your first encounter and picking anything but the romance option nets you disapproval. If you have ben following their quests Merrill and Fenris will come to your home late Act two if you haven't romanced anyone yet and basically beg you to fuck them, to turn him/her down leads to -15 disapproval. Basically if you don't bed anyone and try to focus on saving the city it gets hard to max out approvals because they want your dick/pussy. Also comically if you flirt him them all early enough you can bed and keep all 4 the whole game. The epilogue picks as you romance whoever you bedded first however.

My playthought is my personal outcomes and I can enjoy them for that, when each game has to factor that in it leads to what happen to ME3 where all your choices go down the shitter and everyone has basically the same gaming experience of choose your color. If each game has a set canon story it lets the future games keep that independent charm that your actions actually lead to more than just getting the same outcomes everyone else did.

According to the novels and Word of God, Morrigan's kid doesn't happen. It's why they have Flem taking the God soul. Each game is just sweeping more under the rug of your actions hence why I wish they just had a default anyway rather than this weird cocktease that anything mattered.

Horseshit, you can reclaim that disapproval in one single conversation/bottom-tier quest (in Dissent you can get as much as +30 Anders approval in like 10 minutes if it matters that much, typically 10-15 in others). I mean, you only need 100 to max approval.

Also, I never got why people were so appalled at a tiny disapproval for turning someone down. "I'm being forced to rub dicks with Anders or lose approval!", like what, why wouldn't he be a little bruised if he makes a move and you turn him down? Seems realistic enough to me, not everyone is going to take it like a champ.

Designer notes indicate that Flemeth/Mythal intends to let him have her power, so long as she can pass the essence of her god-hood onto Morrigan. Granted they can change those notes but that would imply Solas is charged up with Evanuris. There are notes in Trespasser about a ritual of holding the old gods in one host.

That was my biggest beef with 2 was they took a bunch of minor/major characters and lobotomized them to be something completely. Anders acts nothing like he did in Awakening Merrill is no longer pragmatic I guess Isabela stayed the same but 63 James Kirk isn't much of a character to mess with.

Honestly, a lot of it is probably to do with his excellent VA. Ramon Tikaram absolutely sold Dorian for me, especially in the romance scenes. He really gave him some life and warmth and vulnerability. That quaver in "I always knew you'd break my heart, you bastard" - beautiful.

Ditto with Cole; James Norton totally nailed that soft and slightly off-beat sort of lilting way of talking, and without that being just right, he would have been a lot less interesting and possibly even flat-out annoying.

Even if you can't romance him, the flirtatious banter is still lovely. Along with his gr8 VA, I think it helps that he feels like one of the few in the team that you form a genuine friendship with. He's clearly very lonely, particularly after Felix and then being an outsider in the south, and if you're good to him, you get the feeling he genuinely adores you. I get the impression not many people have been good to him before.

Sera is dire. I was genuinely surprised when someone told me her VA is actually English, I thought it was an American making a pigs arse of it. She did quite well on the uhh, goofy? side of things, I suppose. Blackwall's VA does voice-overs in DIY supply commercials here and sounds exactly the same. Nothing too astounding.

Now, I have a soft-spot for FPJ because he's just so pumped about Bull and DA in general, but that voice...well, it becomes a lot more tolerable if you imagine Hissrad is putting on a fake voice as part of his Iron Bull disguise and no-one has hard the heart/balls to tell him he sounds like shit.

The Queen of Great Dragons is currently hiding in Thedas somewhere, "ready to wake up and strike". Mythal has been preparing for centuries for the final battle against the Evanuris.

Arlathan is this huge elven city that is supposedly swallowed into the earth. This is post-veil, because supposedly it's the Tevinter Imperium using their magic among other things at their disposal, and the elves run like hell because they don't want human cooties or a shorter lifespan.
Well, when there's enough death in a place it rends the veil, right? That part of the veil could have hit directly over one of those lyrium wells within the deep roads that transport you to different parts of the fade. The rend could have created havoc and opened access directly to the void itself?
When the AMs broke through, perhaps they encountered what they thought was just an abandoned throne but it was chock full of void energy. They're instantly corrupted, then rejected from the city freeing them. They're afterwards a walking disease that affects anything.

Another thing is that the Evanuris remind me a lot of Nephilim (and of the war between the titans, gods and heroes of old Greek mythology). The first companion, who is forced on you, 5 minutes in, is voiced by a homosexual TV producer (not a TV producer who is a homosexual, but a person who procuces homosexual TV shows). He isn't even a voice actor, and he was specifically approached by inXile to voice that character in order to reach out to the LGBT community. You're forced to play as an ultra ugly black person (I have no problem with that, I always play Bioware games as a bald black man with mutton chops myself, even though I am a white girl), the hairstyle is same for male and female, and looks exceptionally horrible on the female MC.

The writing is extremely long winded in order to pretend it's too deep for you, but some of it is DA2 / I wanna be a dragon tier. There are 6 companions, 4 of them have either no personality or are intolerably bad.

Gameplay is literally "spend your attributes to win luck based skill checks" and since you can spend your companions attributes too, you can pretty much win every skill check.
