I've been playing through the series for the first time recently and I am really confused by something.
Why was there such a huge shitfit over the ending to ME3? It's not like your choices ever affected the story in a way that actually mattered. No matter what you do in ME1 Saren dies and Sovereign is destroyed. The council living or dying doesn't affect anything meaningful in ME2. All the choices you made in the first game get a supeficial callback in the form of an email or a brief encounter with some rando that you barely remember. The most impact the player has on the story is which characters die, which still doesn't change the endings too much to matter.
What were they expecting to happen?

I think the armour of the asari from the artbook needs to look sleeker with more flowing lines, and less structured small bits. I also think it looks too much like the Phantom and Nemesis suits that I felt didn't fit with Mass Effect.

why not? It's not the main thrust and they're nice side flavor. Companion missions are pretty routine in RPGs where you've got recruitable characters. ME1 had Wrex's family armor and Garrus' bloodhunt for Dr. Heart.

I had no idea until this first Insanity run of ME3 how much the new skills in the expanded Energy Drain tree makes it OP as fuck.
I had Tali stand out in the open against the 3 Geth Primes at the end of the last Quarian/Geth War mission and she facetanked all 3 of them the entire fight by spamming a defense specced Energy Drain, she never went down.

Peebee sounds a little annoying from what I've seen so far. Not sure whether it's the voice or the personality. She also dies twice in the video for no apparent reason.

Once again, there are some weird facial amimations on display and a bit of movement weirdness with Sara getting stuck briefly on terrain.
