Emulating BotW on CEMU currently, works, but only goes as far as the first black screen, then doesn't load, likely because of the game being on a global timer, wait til release and we may have a fix.

Hello everyone, I'm the guy that helped people on discord yesterday to install the game, and I will be up again now for about an hour.

Make sure you used the guide to install the game

1. Download the game files (258 files)
2. Download the .tik file and rename it to title.tik (be sure you have extensions enabled or you can fuck up and rename it to title.tik.tik if extensions are hidden)
3. Place the title.tik file in the game folder (you should now have 259 files noe)
4. Download the update (I got the one from MEGA)
5. On your SD card you need to have a folder called 'install' where you will place the game folder and the update folder (name those 2 folders however the fuck you want)
6. Insert the SD card into the Wii U
7. Run a CFW (Mocha doesn't require anything special to set up so use it if you don't have one)
8. Run homebrew channel (See first link) -> wup installer mod y or wup installer GX2 (this one had a nice gui and background music -> install both folders (game and update folder in this order)
9. Start the game and have fun

Notes: If you have a US (NTSC) Wii U, do not worry, just run the CFW as in the guide, before installing the folders and everything will work.
The CFW is not permanent so you need to start it again after shutting down the Wii U because it's needed to run the EU (PAL) game into your US console.

When installing the update with WUP should it be going through all 9904.8 mb again? I thought the update was like 2gb

All these files outside folders here are for the HBL channel if I'm not mistaken. I tried putting them in their own folder, but then I couldn't even launch the homebrew channel. I took them back out and was able to load HBL, and I was also able to see install/game and install/update. I moved over to install/game and it keeps wanting to install the update (2222 mb). To make sure I didn't get the folders mixed up, I renamed "game" to "game_install_this_first", and now it's not even showing up in WUP installer.

So I spent 5 mins climbed a waterfall, at the top was a long dead bandit chiefs stockpile which included a flame sword forged in the heart of death mountain. I paraglided off the waterfall, sword in hand, landed in a forest where a GIANT skeleton saw me, picked up a tree, and killed me in one hit. This game is cool

I tried out a method my friend did which worked for him. Basically launched homebrew 1.4 via loadiine and then installed it to his usb drive.

I boot homebrew via loadiine, launch wup installer mod, and press A to install title to system memory. I get an error MCP_InstallGetInfo 0xFFFBF3E2 or something I can't remember. is the "install" folder in the root of my SD supposed to be with "i" or "I"? what could be the problem? I downloaded the EU file ending with 500 and added the title.tik from wii u titlekeys.

You can do all of that, you just can't update your wiiU to newer firmware. Hard wise: you need an SD card, that's it (but it needs to be big enough to install games).

I heard Zelda's voice in the beginning and during the blood moon cutscene, but all other cutscenes have no voices when they clearly should. I was streaming it and everyone was telling me there should be voices in those scenes (based on other streams they saw).

It's a pretty good emulator. I feel like it'll take more of a week rather months for CEMU to run past the menus though.
