Anon help, i've been playing berzerker to rep4, warden to rep2 and law to rep1.
Now i try to main shugoki and get absolutely destroyed both duels and 4v4 by anyone who's not a total shitter.
Need some advise, fatman is superfun but his kit is so lackluster - only light-headbutt or light-heavy-fake-heavy works. Getting my ass kicked.

You need to go for his unlock mixups as much as you can. Any time you parry someone and throw them against a wall afterwards is a free hug. Any time you parry them, get them out of stamina, and throw them to the ground is a free charged heavy. Manage your hyper armor and dont let it get chipped without a trade.

As a warden against PK I rarely parry, I just block as much as I can and wait for fuckups/surprise them with a quick top light or zone. I usually keep my guard to my right so that the instant zone doesn't cuck me.

Still, its an uphill battle. One of my personal worst matchups together with Nobushi. I am just terrible at fighting opponent who are really quick and aggressive since I always try to parry too much.

No problem. A lot of the reasons why some attacks do not connect even though theoretically they should is because players are slow on the input or hold a button down for too long. You will build muscle memory for it in no time and won;t have that problem any more if you play the character for a while.

Remember the 3 options camera unlock mixup (Oni charge to knock them down into cancel into uncharged heavy / guardbreak instead of charge so if they expect charge and try to dash they get GBd, side attack so that if they try to dash or swing to prevent GB they get smacked). One of the scariest tools of the Shugoki.

This guide has helped me.
Although I've discovered 90% through experimentation, the key part was convincing me why conq's top heavy sucks and why I should stop using it. It caused a massive improvement.

Even aside from the roll and just guessing the 50/50, classes have additional different tools that help cancel it. Charge into it if you are a heavy/lawbringer/warden, dash + attack if you are an assassin or kensei, quick top light stun if you are raider. Combine those tools with the usual strategy and you will get hit by it a lot less. It really isnt a big issue for me and I am a LB main.

I'd disagree to a point. Yes, the top light is quick, but warden doesn't do side dodge attack like the orochi, and his light and heavy attacks have quite a bit of range to the point you can safely keep a distance from an orochi and still connect.

I've been training against a level 3 conq bot and I feel like I have to dodge early to avoid the bash, if I wait until it starts I get hit. Now against a bot who almost never dashes forward it's easy to dodge but what happens if I face a player who mixes it up with guard breaks?

Have to use character of a faction to contribute war assets to that faction.
Instead of spreading war assets evenly, 25% of undeployed war assets are sent to the territory your faction is losing worst in.
Make it easier to deploy war assets (small map in the corner instead of an option).
Shorter rounds, more faction-based special events.
Add an increase for directly deploying war assets so people actually have incentive for doing so.
Give rewards at "x" amount of deploys for more incentive to deploy them instead of just letting them disperse.

And for fuck's sake, ADD A 3-MAN FREE FOR ALL MODE IN THE DUEL PLAYLIST. It fits the game so well and it would add to the faction war a lot.

No it doesnt if you dash as he starts charging. Dont do it right before as he might cancel, dont do it too late or he will cuck you. Yes, you have to learn timings and frames in a fighting game.

By the time you roll away and reposition, and the time for him to get to you, you will have regained all lost stamina. If he just want to keep charging that's fine, judge the distance and throw a top light on his head right as he arrives if all your opponent warden is doing is charging like a retard.

This shit is literally a non-issue in the tournament scene. Just watch them to see how to deal with it if you feel like it causes you trouble.

What I think should happen is warden should get a recovery time increase after a missed charge so that you can punish him at least with a free light he can't react to. He needs to keep the mixup, though, or the turtlefest will be even worse.

Did you watch Pandaego's games last night vs King Richard? Literally time limits being reached round after round as none of the players attack/all attacks get blocked/punished. We need more mixups in the game, not less.
