I'm trying to learn Shugoki, but I'm having a bit of trouble with his sprinting freight train attack.

Watching people on youtube, they're able to trigger it just before reaching the opponent, then stop charging just after hitting them and get in a heavy attack.

When I try this, my Shugoki knocks them down but then keeps on running in a straight line for at least 2 seconds, putting me well out of range for an attack.

How do I cancel the charge?

Wouldn't work if you're not doing it with specific people (such as a friend). You need to have it auto-select/start, which won't happen if you're playing alone without matchmaking. Donno if you can matchmake afk.

Until they separate Elimination/Skirmish or delete them, or if they don't fix joining losing games in dominion, or until they delete PK leaving games should be very much allowed.

Use toggle lock on and switch the following:

Guardbreak => R3 (reset camera)
Dodge => L2 (toggle lockon)
Feint => L1 (chat)

Its very hard getting used to but very worth it.
You wont ever need to hesitate wether to block or dodge, can take you time counter gb, and im general, you arent moving around your fingers so much, losing stamina and framrates.

Yes, you get better at it after a while of practicing the timing instead of mashing the button.
Never mash, try to press only once and you will eventually find the timing and engrave it in you muscles.

The beta timing was pretty much, tech as soon as fucking possible before its too late, but at any time before he grabs you.
Its a very small window.

Now you have to wait for the actual grab, which is why im having such a hard time against out-of-stamina grabs.
