Me again. Just updated my ps3 to 4.81 to discover I'm banned.

What's a good new IDPS source? eBay? I'm afraid they'll resell the IDPS as soon as I've left positive feedback.

Also what's the current state of IDPS generation? I think I read something about sony bypassing ANY series of numbers as a valid IDPS.

To me, the N3DS feels worse in the hand than the O3DS.
The Stylus is in a very very bad spot, MUCH worse than the original. This was my biggest complaint, that and the stylus feels worse in the hand.

Then there is the IPS lottery, which it seems 90% of the new systems are coming with TN panels so the screens dont even look better.
The extra CPU power in CFW either crashes games, or makes no visible difference at all.

The C stick nub is fucking worthless.

I returned it on day 12 of the 15 day walmart return policy.
Its not worth $200 and the hassle of selling my O3DS to play maybe 2-3 games using the extremely hard to use C stick.

Is there a way to convert the .sav files GW stores on your SD to be compatible with your .cia games? It probably involves dicking around with SaveDataFiler, decrypting the saves while mounting the ROMs with GW, but honestly - after what happened today, I'm not planning on touching Gateway again unless there is no other way to keep my saves.

Tbh I'd have continued using GW if I hadn't updated my Emunand to 11.3, which isn't supported right now.
But considering that installing CFW is easier than expected and Gateway caused my 3DS to be no longer compatible with CFW (which, admittedly, is my fault - alarm bells should have rang in my head to do some more research when the boot into Gateway fastboot asked me for confirmation), I won't bother once I have a replacement 3DS.

Just sad that my collection of .3ds files is practically useless to me now, unless I convert them to .cias.

Games installed on your 3ds are not tied to your NNID. They're not tied to anything.
You can download any game you want straight from nintendo's servers, there's no restrictions or security in place, it's all public.
The games are encrypted obviously, and to decrypt them you need a ticket containing a decryption key (titlekey).
When you buy a game on your NNID, the NNID is flagged as owning that ticket so you can download it and install the games.
But the ticket/titlekey is the same for each game no matter what. So if someone buys the game, dumps the titlekey they obtained and puts it on another console, that console can now also install the game.
That's what freeshop does. It loads all the titlekeys uploaded by various people to 3ds.titlekeys.com and installs the games using them.

As I said in the thread before this one, my Emunand replaced my Sysnand after following the instructions from 3ds.guide. For some reason, once I tried to use the GW workaround when booting my 3DS, I got the Gateway fastboot message, which I think, since 11.3 isn't supported by Gateway right now, caused my CFW to be overwritten since I can't access Luma anymore, with my 3DS booting to the home menu when not pressing anything.
And since, even if/once Gateway supports 11.3, it'd only be for the Emunand, not Sysnand, so I am fucked.

You're welcome, since copying it didn't work you may have to resign the saves with bsd to the new account, a minor nuisance. I was pretty sure Rebug introduced a feature to overwrite save locking bullshit, meh.

But first, try making a brand new user on the ps3 and overwrite everything inside that folder with the contents of your backup, the registry keeps track of user accounts which can lead to weird stuff. keep the folder for this new account the same as the ps3 makes it, might work.

Oh and i believe i isolated the problem to the newest version of webman rather than psnpatch, i myself had issues having updated both my psnpatch and webman this morning, rolled back after a database rebuild and it's behaving.

You should notice your new accounts are numbered 4+ despite the format, registry doesn't get purged from such things.

For anybody having trouble installing games with wupinstaller for Wii U, keep in mind couple of things (This assumes you use haxchi):

1. Delete everything that's in your install folder from when you were hacking the Wii U. Those leftover files will confuse the wupinstaller.

2. As a precaution, delete everything but the [install folder itself] and the [wiiu folder and its contents]. You don't need any of it after you hack the console.

3. Make sure you turn the console off, put the SD card in, and then turn it on. Then go to haxchi and let it load fully. Then click on the homebrew channel after.

4. If you're still having issues, use wii u usb helper to copy the files to the SD card and let it verify the games.

I was totally fucked for hours until I did all of this. Now everything installs fine.

This may not be necessary for everyone but it made all the difference for me.

Webman actually runs a ftp daemon so you don't need to go into multiman unless you have WM disabled.

When you say it doesn't work, can you go into more detail about to what extent, i assume you can still login to that user? if it's just the saves don't work they just need resigning is all.

After resigning the saves with bsd I was able to import them, copying over ftp to the /home folder didn't give any results.
But sticking them in a USB drive and copying them over from xmb worked fine!

I'm now on 4.81 with all my games and my savefiles, also I'm back online!

It's actually really easy, just set up the SD card right and then go to loadiine and pick the right thing from the drop down menu. It'll crash, you reopen the internet browser, and bam you're able to load mods from the SD card. Takes at most 1 minute.
