While the art direction and level design in BB is tip-top-tier, you still have things like the extremely blocky cityscape in Central Yharnam or things like the horribly ugly skybox seam in Hunter's Dream.

What makes BB look better than it actually is is the creative use of the smoke, lighting and particle effects like when you go through Yahar'gul / Central Yharnam, you have the moon beams filtering through smoke rising from the manholes and the fog and there's these weird particles dancing in the air, just gives it a really nice and haunting vibe overall.

Dark Souls 3 absolutely is graphically on par with Bloodborne, in some cases technically surpassing it (and sometimes even in art design like the snow / ice in Ariandel imo looks better than Castle Cainhurst).

Speaking of graphics, this is a big problem in DaS 2's set design : areas are designed sometimes fairly sloppily and they give you "beautiful" vistas like this.

Sometimes the backdrops in DaS2 can be really fucking beautiful like Heide's, most of the backdrops in Fotfg but then you get shit like this and Tseldora and it's just.....uuuuuurrrghhh.

The scene design in DS2 was probably hurt by the entire game being scaled back a lot but even still, they should've either fixed shit or restricted the player's ability to get views that result in stuff like this.

Most games do that, which is why I really appreciate Soulsborne games being the exception and putting a lot of effort into making the backdrops both look cool and provide spatial awareness for the player to help them understand where they are in the world without having maps available to them. It's supposed to be controlled by a Pilgrim Butterfly, and those creatures are something the Pilgrims of Londor can become, if you follow Yuria sidequest she wants you to be the Lord of Hollows and for that you need the ashes of Prince Lothric.

Then why would the Pilgrim Butterflies try to stop you? Unless when they become butterflies they lose their senses i think it would be neat if following Yuria's sidequest made you able to skip Dragonslayer Armour

Don't bother with pyromancies in DS2, especially for pve. Hilariously low amount of casts for mediocre damage and up to 3 slots needed for a single spell. The only somewhat good ones are firestorm-type ones, and only against bosses with big hitboxes.

Don't bother, the drake starts healing from arrow damage after a certain point, unless you can out-damage the healing it isn't worth it.

Just fight it on the bridge and bait its fly-up breathe-down fire attack, it has a buggy hitbox where you can stand right next to the fire plume and you'll take no damage.

No infusion, physical infusions aside from raw are really only a thing in DeS and DS3. You might want to mess around with poison on something since poison in DS2 is worthwhile and scales with DEX but you could probably just leave that to arrows or Mytha's dagger.

I'd say start as a knight or swordsman and get at least 25 DEX and then start leveling VIT so you can use the Alonne armor and go full weeb. This ought to be pretty easy if you sit around in the FoFG farming the Pursuer and the last giant.

DS3's hitboxes are indeed the best in series. I lost count of how much times attack would go in millimetre over my head and i will avoid being damaged. Lorian is a prime example of this, if his model doesn't connect with you, you won't get hit, that's part of why i love their battle so much.
