What I do personally to avoid getting bored drawing is limit myself to five minutes for a gesture drawing warmup using a site like sketchdaily. Then once I decide what I want to draw I just do it and reference anatomy whenever things look a little strange. Once you get bored, stop looking at references entirely, have fun finishing it, and move on to the next one

From what we've seen so far, it's not looking too optimistic. The /pol/ 'BLACK'd fucking up the Susannah arc' argument, while unironically valid doesn't look like it will even be a factor as it appears they're playing up the fantasy aspects at the expense of the actually well-executed gritty, grimdark character development and themes in the first few books.

Elba does have solid charisma, but that doesn't mean jack shit if both the characters and themes are neutered. The ONLY reason the Dark Tower plot works at all is because of the focus on the motivations of/how fucked up the characters are while they grow.

You take that away and all you have is a mediocre fantasy plot.
