You don't, she is a poorly conceived hero. There's no point to ever using her because "stopping abilities from being used for a few seconds" with never ever be more useful than "killing them so they have to wait eight seconds and run back from spawn."

She was originally designed to do stuff like make Torb's turrets fire on his teammates or enemy abilities hurt their allies, but that had to be scrapped because Blizzard markets this game to fat housewives and special needs children who can never be expected to adapt or learn to play around a gameplay feature. So Sombra will forever be the queen of the garbage can and never played in any environment more serious than drunken quickplay.

the thing is, valve made tf2 way before the competitive esports craze. the game was pretty balanced in a competitive sense, maybe it wasn't a fun spectator sport ( i personally enjoyed it) but it was fun as hell to actually play, because skill was 100% necessary. you wouldn't see autistic retards main reinhardt or lucio all the way to grandmaster because every role on the tf2 comp team requires insane amounts of skill.

former tf2 pros like clockwork absolutely despise the game and play because it's a good source of money. seagull was an average tf2 player, but the best ones like b4nny and clock despise the game.

You can pay lipservice to how much you like counter picking, but the actual reality of the game discourages or even makes swaps practically impossible. This is best seen in 2CP defense. You get one chance to get your team comp right. Maybe you want to swap for the second point after getting rolled, but you'll be giving up ultimate charge.

Hybrid also has this problem for defenders, but at least you can lose more than two team fights without losing the entire game.

a good rule of thumb for sombra is stay glued to your team most of the time, she cant 1v1 duel people. bust she can assassinate low health targets hence why she has her passive and long distance mobility, also watch for enemies heading for your previously hacked health packs, its good bait.

sombreros mantra is: know where your team is at ALL times.
