Don't use fire spells against dunmer, don't use frost spells against nords. Poison and Shock spells are nice middle grounds. Once you reach lategame, be aware of reflect/absorb magicka effects.

Don't specialize too hard, spread your money around and get lots of cheap spells in different schools and try them out. Play around with spellmaking when you get the chance. Join the mages guild and get those free magicka potions as fast as you can. You might wanna learn how to craft your own as well. Consider a sidearm just incase you run out of mana and have no way of getting out of a bad situation.

You have many, m a n y options at your disposal.

I got an idea for a run through Skyrim.

It's a very light clean skin.
It requires adding blemishes and messing with lighting to look natural, which other skins do by not being an empty slate and having color.
Given most of the "hours played" by people aren't just setting up screenshots coupled with bad lighting systems that even enb can't fix for everything, it's not a good option for most players.

The brightest white can be over saturated, that doesn't mean there's "too much color" in that white.

Switching from something like SG to RG based textures is difficult. Issues with the nose vertexes often show up since SG is much less detailed, hiding these things.

Cloneskin has also much more defined lips. The lips from SG are a little bit bloated, making them look a little bit fuller. You would have to play with the lip size sliders to compensate.

Also, the nose. Cloneskin makes the nose quite prominent. Some smoothing around the nostrils can sometimes help.

By the nexus alone, Special Edition has 5.5k versus Oldrim's 51k in terms of mods. The Bethesda mod network shit is more manageable than Steam Workshop but still trash, though I wouldn't know how many are on there besides the usual 'big ones.'

Next month the SKSE64 beta hits with a presumed time of mid-March. That should open up modding and all, but it'd still have a long time to catch up to Oldrim, so if you're looking for a modded experience then Oldrim is the way to go. Special Edition theoretically has future potential but is a long ways from it.

Mlox rules was updated this January I think? That's when the _base.txt was modified. The actual .exe itself is still a few years old, I believe. Don't know if they will, or even need to update that.
