While mechanical control can win you the headshot in a 1v1 firefight on equal terms, one of the best ways to approach that is to think about your crosshair placement. Whenever you move or sit still, make sure you aim at where you think their head will be.

I think the more consistent way to win firefights though is to think of more ways to get the drop on your enemy, think about sneaky lines of sight that they may not expect or moving in such a way that they will move past you when they move to attack then ambushing them from behind.

Despite having bigger heads and worse guns for holding long range compared to the mp5 no one ever acts like Doc and Rook are good at peeking windows.
The biggest drawback is the speed you lose for strafing while you aim.

Hi all, Writing a guide for the Paste bin man to help newcomers who want some tips to learn the basics of certain Operators. A field Manual for them if you will.

Caveira:
Caveira is an operator who is best used for flanks and in the right hands can be very deadly. Her Silent Step ability now has more relevance than just sound since the addition of Jackal since he cannnot see her footsteps while she was moving with silent step active.

The basic rules with Caveira are as follows:
>Never engage the enemy head on in a firefight
Caveira is very weak in head on firefights due to both her weaponary and armor rating so it is highly reccommened to only engaging enemies who you have flanked or are in a firefight with another team mate.

By using hatches you can find new ways to flank enemies who may be on a floor below you as well but it is also a great way of fleeing situations and making a tactical retreat.

Remember the enemy must come into the building to complete their objective. However, be aware that often times the objective can be accessed from a window or breach from the outside directly.

Don't buy the starter edition.

Buy either standard or more. Standard gives you the game, basically. First year pass, if it's still available, gives you the year 1 DLC operators. There's 8 of them, and arguably some of them exemplify power creep.
Year 2 pass gives you the year 2 operators when they come out. Currently there's only two released.

Base game operators aren't unlocked, but they're not overpriced. There's four per outfits, priced 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 (price increase with each purchase for that outfit). You'll be able to unlock most of them quickly just by playing. DLC operators will take a lot more time to get by playing as they cost 25k each, but they're not strictly necessary.
